Think the fact he’s constantly applying and interviewing for bigger roles and getting nothing tells you how people really feel about him though. Some fact * will take a chance on him because he players for the Huns, Hibs etc.

Apparently he applies for every job going that’s a higher level than Kelty :giggle1: from Alloa to Hibs and Aberdeen.

Just seen they still don’t have a manager just now.

Leanne Dempster running it with Willie Haughey and Tom Hunter funding it.

If he decides to retire then total fair play to him. Earned it after the career he’s had and done some job for us as well. One of my favourite celts of all time.

I feel like he’s a bit of a home bird which may be the reason he doesn’t go there, or out of Scotland/Northern England in general.

Possibly has a youngish family etc.

I thought that too, but he was eyeing up a move to Australia at one point so still a chance he might consider a move elsewhere.

What do you mean “that doesn’t mean he’s any good though”? They’ve already saw fit to offer him the role before, do you think they’re doing it BECAUSE he’s a * coach, or does that not fit into your torn-faced rotten argument?

As for the second part of your post - what an utter load of *. So every time someone has came through Celtic, it’s a negative that we keep them at the club or bring them back in some capacity? Aye, because giving Jock Stein was “jobs for the bhoys” same with Billy McNeill, Davie Hay, Tommy Burns, * even Neil Lennon has been a success for the majority of his time at Celtic (post player).

It seems folk like you will never be happy unless you’re moaning and complaining about something.

Because us offering him a role literally means nothing about his ability as a youth coach. Our track record of youth development says we’re pretty clueless when it comes to identifying good staff at that level.

Nobody has said everytime we hire someone with ties to the club it’s a negative. Nobody.

Wanting us to hire the best coaches available isn’t moaning and complaining about something.

    Apart from that though…

Aye he would do well to get a gif in either as a player coach and learn his trade that way as well.

Aye, apart from that not one single thought-provoking answer from yourself.

    Thanks…

You asked two questions. One which didn’t make any sense and one about a point nobody made. Hardly ‘thought provoking’ in nature.

We’ve a problem with youth development and hiring the best people available in positions all across the football club. It’s not even a debate.

I'd think short term he'd be a plus to have about CP for the run in tbh. Longer term I think he would be better away from us The only problem is he has only played up here so he will likely have to chose/look for a lower league team and hopefully build from that into England. If he keeps playing maybe look to America for a season or 2 in a player/coach role.
