Need to have certain players for this game because GG looks to be the head of the spear for this one.

Calmac needs to play LM, and Maeda on the left as well in the first half. Both are left footed and can whip in the early ball to the middle or the high cross to far side of the box for GG to head down to the middle for the second ball for us to score.

Same tactics from the right side as well. Ralston at overlapping RB and O'Riley at RM. Giakoumakis has scored most of his goals from low crosses from the right, and from these above players' assists.

I can see Calmac scoring again with a drive from outside the box and GG side footing at least one goal. Abada high crosses from the right to far post for GG to head down to the middle. GG will need to get in and ghost into position on time.

Juranovic to score from a free kick outside the box or with a penalty.

Wonder if I have gypsy blood ?

    Hart

    Ralston
    CCV
    Starfelt
    Juranovic

    O'Riley
    Bitton
    Calmac

    Abada/Jota
    Giakoumakis
    Maeda/Forrest

That would be massive if we could get one in the first 10 minutes.

I want livi relegated as much as I wanted Hamilton relegated when they were in the league. * pitch, nae fans & horrible games to watch.
Early goal to * up their game plan would be ideal.

Refreshing to see Ange putting the younger players into the squads, I genuinely thinks he likes dembele and doak and hopefully he can sell them a future at the club.

Forrest has been a good celtic player for the last 10 years, but I feel his time is coming up, this season he hasnt offered very little and it is time he is either to be a bit part player or move on, if dembele gets a run in the game and has a good performance I think he can step up to the mark, hopefully that is enough for him to sign a 2/3 year deal and try and carve out a starting place in the team or compete.

Livingston away is no different to any other away way (other than the 3g pitch) , the team will defend with 2 x banks of 5 at the edge of the box and make it hard to break down.

If we get an early goal it would be fantastic - we really need to work on corners and set pieces (when was the last free kick we scored?). Hopefully GG will do his poaching inside the box and turn on one first, i think nearly all his goals have been one touch finishes?

Even a strike outside the box

We will have more possession, we will have more passes, we will have more attempts, we will have more corners - so if we fail to win it will be our own fault, we need to play fast, move fast, make good movements and be clinical is final balls in the last third. Jota owes us a big game, he hasnt done much since returning from injury and for me between him and CCV i would take CCV all day long, but obv take both but expect jota to turn it up a level pre-injury levels.

If we dont give away silly corners and sloppy free kicks we should and I expect us to win, a first half goal would certainly settle nerves on and off the pitch.

Hopefully Ange has a play b and plan c, in the last 6/7 games we only seem to cross into the box into one striker often up against 2/3 players.

quick switching of play and play diagonal balls, none of this slow moving the ball to the other side giving players time to adapt

be direct get shots off, play one touch where we can, try not to be predictable

feel we are very predictable at times

We need to be more efficient, livi have less possession against more teams and seem to draw or win , we need to keep shooting low , shoot on site , drive into the box looking for a pen , do not dive in wen trying to regain possession, keep free kicks against us in safe areas .

Wonder if CCV will actually play.

Hasn't played any of the 3 games on plastic this season. Maybe just a coincidence or maybe more to it

Pretty sure CCV played against Bodo away on their synthetic pitch.

We all know what type of game this will be. Surely the players know what's required here.
Calmac needs to be pushed further forward in my opinion and bring in Bitton/Guchi (maybe not the right game for the latter) Rogic looked good when he came on the other night so a rest for O'riley & Hatate I think
I've been calling for Hatate to start at left back and see what he has to offer there as he's been well short of what we expect of him lately but again this isn't the right game to experiment so Taylor starts for me (could argue for Jura to play there and Ralston RB but I'm not to sure)
We really need GG to be fit for this otherwise the Livi CB's will deal with our crosses all game long.

    Early goal please Celtic!!

We´ve played Livvy twice, we have yet to score.

With the way the team has performed after Motherwell, I can´t say I´m overly confident.
The annoying bit for me in the previous games, is that Martindale has got his team sticking to his gameplan 100%.
Ange needs to tweak his system, the other teams by now know how to stifle us.

That said, I´m thinking 1-0 to the good guys, Abada with the winner 10 minutes from time.

This is exactly what we need and then they’ll have to attack us and we give them a drubbing.

Eye balls crossed for an early goal and force them out to play. However id imagine we will see more of the same and struggle to score, but i guess at this stage the win is all that counts.

James Forrest looked a lot sharper on Wednesday night, if he really has found his form and fitness he has to be heavily involved in the run in. Our current front three have lost form, Forrest has seen it and done many times before when it comes to winning Titles, it would be crazy not to use his experience.

big ralston is good for our corners, my heart would sink if taylor starts, any type of height
we really miss turnbull who loves breaking through the lines and stretching / breaking up the defence, and obv the smart runs and control of kyogo.

but yes play with intent from the start and we will win

We need to have shots from the edge of the box if they are sitting deep, as it stands we have been proven to not score against their low block. Hopefully this changes on Sunday :ynwacelti 2 nil CMcG and GG

They want us dragged into grim battle rather than a football match, an early goal would see them revert to Plan B which wouldnt go well for them.

A couple of games ago we started playing short corners that told the players if they were in any doubt we are * at set pieces. The crossing into the box in open play is now lacking confidence also, the players know its very unlikely anyone is getting on the end of it. To have a huge part of a football teams goal scoring threat rendered useless is worrying, Ange will have to address this in the next transfer window. As for free kicks we've had some very good takers over the years such as Nakamura, Griffiths etc but does anyone really expect to see the ball fly into the back of the net when we are about to take a free kick around 25 yards from the opposition goal, from what Ive seen so far we are pitiful. There was some hope Juranovic would be a free kick specialist but im unconvinced, surely a player of Rogics ability is a capable free kick taker, he can certainly do it from open play.

    I'd take a poor performance and a 1-0 win.
