Not being funny, but we're playing for a £40m league title this season and automatic CL group stage qualification.

Play some fringe players mixed with a few regulars and maybe make some second half subs to keep the rest of the first team match fit, ahead of Hibs on Sunday and the remaining league games.

I'd happily chuck both the ECL and Scottish Cup if you could guarantee me the league championship right now.

 

So so torn over this. You’ve got to think the huns dropping points is directly related to a hard away European tie, and I can see us being vulnerable to the same come next Sunday at Hibs.

I don’t want to go giving up our breathing space in the league and our midfield is looking jaded. Need to get some proper rotation in and if we are there and there abouts, then we can make attacking subs when they are starting to tire with 30 to go.

I’m not saying give up on this, just saying we need to be smart about this.

 

That 3rd goal killed the tie, time to move on, send out fringe team, keep everyone fresh for Hibs. We looked a tad jaded yesterday, last thing we need is a hard slog on a plastic pitch.

Putting out the fringe is a win win.

If we lose, * it, players are rested up, less games to play allowing us to concentrate on domestic duties.

If we go through, hunky dory. Next round to look forward to.

Id rest as many of the "first 11" humanly possible.

 

Get two goals and pass it around the back for the next half and extra time and win on penalties without breaking a sweat.

Would like to progress but this Bodo team are no mugs and I fancy them to score.

Being realistic we probably need to score 4 to go through.. we have the goals in us but would need to push hard, leaving ourselves open to the counter, and that's where the problem lies.

The hard push will take alot out of us and the league is priority.

Hard call for Ange, think he will go for it and come up short.

Only bright spot is their first choice keeper misses the game as he got booked for time wasting. No idea what their back up keeper is like but on our past experiences he will come in and play superbly, unless his name is Doris.

Won't be getting my hopes up, and not overly fussed on result. We knew when we drew them it was a potentially very difficult opponent.

 

I tend to agree with you. Personally I think we now can still have a free shot so to speak at this game given the circumstances of having to go play on their plastic pitch in the artic and starting 3-1 down.

I would go with Hart in goal Ralston, Taylor, Welsh and Jullien at the back. That allows us to rest Juranovic, CCV and Starfeld. In the middle I go with McCarthy, Bitton and Rogic. That allows us to rest McGregor, Hatate and O'Riley. Up front either side of Giakoumakis I go Forrest on the right and Maeda on the left allowing us to rest Jota and Abada.

That is still a lineup capable of getting a result over there on the night. Maybe not enough to win the tie overall but capable of winning on the night but yet at the same time we rest a good chunk of the team we would play on Sunday at Hibernian.

Do you whatever you want. Throw the game like some sissies and field a second string team. If you do that I hope they send you home like som frozen cods in coffins. Show up like men and try to give them a game. Your fans doesn't travel to the polar circle to see their team getting smashed.

 

Think we can do this. I'm not sure I actually want us to though, for obvious reasons. A lot wont agree with this, but I honestly wouldnt be too upset if we go out and that lot across the city progress. Too much riding on this season. Controversial, I know.

No idea why but still fancy us to go through for some reason.

 

I think we will struggle, they will be well organised and just sit in their 2 goal lead.

 

It's a European knockout game and we play the best team possible. We're not going through, but the team need to go out and rectify the result last Thursday.

i will watch this in the 67 bar in lanzorate (puerto del carmen) roll on - hopefully a good game, no injuries and more nervous about sunday's game which is the bigger game.... remember the dead rubber european game when kyogo got hurt before christmas - pick the players wisely in consideration of the pitch type and with sunday in mind.

I don't buy all this 'miracle' talk.

We know we can score goals. I wouldn't be surprised if we go out and score 3 or 4 in Norway.

If our defence does its job and keeps a clean sheet then we'll go through.

I'd have Rogic in for O'Reilly. And Abada for Maeda.
