So why not the same attitude to hearts considering their fans are as bad if not worse

I’m sure (and it’s the same on their forums) that a vast majority of those that don’t want away fans at the derby match don’t actually go or only go when they manage to get a home ticket

I honestly despair that our own so called fans take the hump because we want to support Celtic at every game and try to castigate us for it

 

Again, I get the appeal and understand how the supporters bus/clubs work.

And yeah, we've not done any of that for their midden for over two years now.

They aren't missing anything they've no missed for years now.

Let's keep it that way, instead of funding their lifeline and giving them satisfaction that we need each other.

For those advocating a return of Rangers fans in fairly large numbers 6 thousand plus, perhaps they could volunteer to give up there match day tickets for the occasion, that should solve any issues

Didn't expect this to be such an emotive issue tbh. But then I am one of the ones who only manages to get to the odd game, for a number of reasons, and would fall on the side of not having the filth anywhere near our stadium.

That said, I accept I have no clue as to how it feels for folk who have traveled all over the world attending every game for years, and would never attempt to force an opinion on it from my own point of view.

This is the age we live in now though. Every * has an opinion, every * is an expert, every * can sit at a computer/phone and type in pseudo-intellectual gibberish as if they are the leading authority on whatever subject they fancy at any given time, as if they are in possession of the full facts. Life is much easier if you just take everything you read online with a shovel of salt.

But aye, I'd love nothing more than never to see/read about/hear anything from they * ever again. Compromises have to be made in life though, so whatever happens, happens.

Definitely the reason they started it, but now they’ve realised they can get an extra half million a season with full priced tickets in the section historically they’d sell cut price season tickets without the games against us and they can’t ignore that money coming in now. Backed themselves into a corner where they need it, so it’ll not go back to the old allocations for a long, long time.

It’s to the detriment of Scottish Football and as selling our game as a spectacle but it’s here to stay now.

 

The game that they denied or fans because of ‘covid’ and us returning the favour were always going to be one offs, you need to allow away fans with the league rules unless it’s not feasible due to higher powers i.e. the Police. It was Scottish Government that allowed the option for them to do it and we had the same option when tickets went on sale.

No away fans were always a one off unless the rules continued, which I think they aren’t now (no red zones or whatever they called it) but it’s the minimum amount that they can get away with now.

Not 100% sure but think they’ll have more than 800 at Parkhead because it’s a bigger stadium. Or that’s my understanding of it skimming the rules on it

As always though, they didn’t even think it up themselves, Hearts done it first with Tynecastle. Because one of their fans attacked Lennon and they blamed the behaviour of Celtic fans making a dangerous atmosphere.
