Not sure exactly how controversial this will prove to be, but this season is more important than last season.

10 in a row was a big deal for everyone, no doubt, but there were a lot of mitigating circumstances that led to what happened.

I'm actually over last season now and I mean that with 100% sincerity.

It was obviously terrible the way events unfolded, but Ange coming in and signing some of these amazing players, whilst playing breathtaking football, has massively eased the pain of losing the 10 for me.

The financial rewards at stake this season and the automatic CL group stage spot, as well as having capacity crowds back, are more important to me now than anything that happened in 2020 or 2021.

Football took a backseat in many ways through the 2020/21 season and as we know, the COVID champions got very comfortable playing in front of empty stadiums with no fans on their backs all season.

    Normal service has now resumed.

Bitton is a decent squad player and he’s definitely slotted in well when needed and is far better and more creative in midfield than he was when he was getting played as a centre half defender but definitely think your the only person who would prefer him as the 6 before mcgregor, mcgregor is back getting the ball and is our main outlet from defence to attack but your entitled to your opinion

Genuinely think as great as winning 9 in a row and quadruple trebles was, which I still personally think winning a quadruple treble is a harder achievement than winning 9 in a row, you seen as dominant as the Huns were last year they couldn’t even win 1 double never mind 1 treble. I certainly enjoyed it and while it was a horrible season at the time last year, a think it was definitely the boot up the * we needed cause a lot of entitled fans and players started to think it was our define right to just turn up and win a treble rather enjoying what a remarkable achievement it was, and sometimes a reality check a * season like last and seeing the way they cuntz celebrated winning 1 trophy in 10 years makes us appreciate more now when we have won a cup and hopefully dare I dream a treble

Celtic should have an ice hockey team.

This part for me aswell 100% - and why I think we need Callum in the 6 more than anyone. He is also very good at helping the defence play out from the back.

This is gonna sound mental, but I reckon today's XI would give MON's team a proper game. This isn't a big hyped up Ange's team are the best ever comment, but I was watching back one of the old end of season reviews the other day (2001/2002 it was), and I was a bit shocked at the pace of the game. It all seemed normal back then, but watching it now the game seems proper slow compared to how it is now. I reckon a team of modern-day footballers could potentially overrun MON's team despite their class.

We put too much emphasis on games against the monkeys.

I'm starting to think Bitton isn't a better 6 than CalMac

Well this seems like a decent, opportunistic, point of time to bring this back up.

He’s a decent left back. If he just had to sit in a flat back 4 and defend… wing back, getting up and down the pitch beating men and recovering into position to defend? Nah no chance

Depends who’s infront of him for me, he offers an outball constantly. If he has a guy with movement and workrate and skill infront of him he makes them better. He can’t do it himself, but the way he supports the guys infront of him is very good.

I still think we can upgrade on him, but he’s a much better player than he’s been labelled as up until this point and it’s starting to be realised.

And as Ange himself has pointed out, he’s a leader in the side.

We may have peaked too soon... Should've kept some in reserve... :fear:

Not for me if we want to play the system of the full back over lapping or inverted. He’s never got the engine to get back leaving us exposed. Can definitely upgrade.

No doubt we can upgrade, I’m not denying that at all. He’s much better than he’s ever got credit for, people are starting to realise it as well. He’s worth his place in the squad, especially with what Ange has said about how he’s also a leader in the dressing room.

Giamoukais ahead of Kyogo - not doing a wind up, being dead serious.
