Huge game, not going to be easy. Hearts home form outstanding. We are also on a great run, but I just feel we have too many of our big players out. 2-2

 

Might be in the minority but can see us winning by a couple here. Really think we'll turn up and the new boy's won't be overawed at all.....I think Hatate and O'Riley will likely cause them allsorts of bother infact..

We should’ve got at least a point in that first game of the season since we had a perfectly good goal chalked off plus the foul in lead up to Souttars goal.Ange has had 6 months with the team since then.We should have enough on the park to beat them.

 

The fact the new lads are still wanting to show what they're about might be a blessing in disguise, hope you're right and they impose themselves. Could be a right good game this..

 

Should be a cracker Tynecastle Wednesday night , Tasty. Hopefully O’Riley gets the nod & starts. 3 points & up the Road.

I am hoping Giakoumakis has a good game tonight. I do not want him even thinking about taking a penalty. If he were to fluff another one he would be permanently persona non grata with the Celtic fans. There are no easy games in this SPL and a win is vital each game for Celtic because they face a number of factors apart from the opposing teams they play.

I have just watched highlights of him playing and scoring with his Dutch club last season, and I have noted how he played and how he would score.

Giakoumakis would not get involved with build up and lead-up play and would mostly stay 80% forward central on the pitch. He is a finisher rather than a creator and rarely would drop into midfield.
He needed to be provided with service and would play instinctively and in bursts, finishing clinically and athletically. He has a good leap for headers and a strong physical presence and will attempt the spectacular to score with scissor kicks. He does not have a dynamic style of playing and seems awkward, even casual, at times in the way he moves which can be deceiving. He is very focused on scoring and will rarely pass to a team mate when the chance to score is on. That can be a good thing and a bad thing.

He has an awkward casual style when taking penalties which I do not like.

Most of the goals he scored last season were against lower and mid range teams in the Eredivise with Vvv-Venlo FC.

Ange may or may not want him to play like that for Celtic.

I wish him well and hope he takes his opportunities to shine and do well.

Think the front three will be Jota, Abada, Forrest.

GG hasn't shown any reason to start him in this match. In fact, based on his performances up till now I would advise against it.
