Insane that we are going in to the most crucial run of fixtures without Mcgregor , Turnbull , Rogic , Kyogo, Maeda . They're first 11 players. Abada and Gucci unknown injury status and Forrest is always touch and go lately.

We need to hope O'Riley ,Hatate and GG step up big time. Acid test for Ange's recruitment. Could have a midfield 3 of all January signings.

 

Think we can safely rule the 3 injured last night out. Guchi will need to give that 48-72hrs to let the swelling go down. Cal mac 6-8 weeks with a broken jaw and Abada will probably not be risked.

Bitton, hatate and o,Reilly to be the middle 3 for the next few games. Anything happens to then we are then down to McCarthy and soro

 

First selection isn’t a bad shout. I thought Abada looked really dangerous in a 2 when we played St Johnstone on Boxing Day.

He’s shown he has an eye for goal and arriving into the box at the right time.

 

Would normally be confident here, but it’s turned into a real nightmare fixture with the injuries we have.

3 points, no injuries, job done. Couldn’t care less about the performance.

I am with you there given the number and importance of the players out injury or away on international duty any kind of performance that gets us 3 points and no more injuries and I would be over the moon. We really are in a lot of unknow territory here with the lineup though. If Giakoumakis plays up top will be produce? We need Biton to really be big over these next few weeks and we badly need at least 2 out of Hatate, Guchi and O'Riley to hit the ground running and produce right away. At least we have both Jota and Forrest back.

 

Hatate looked a Rrolls Royce type last week. Early days I know but he seems to be a serious talent, Bitton is vastly experienced and has been very good since moving back to midfield- I expect him to get the nod over Ideguchi. O'Riley may be making a big step up so let's see how he goes. Jota and Forrest are huge over the next few weeks. We need them at it and if they are then we pick up maximum points. I actually think Giakoumakis will thrive with those two either side of him as long as they get the ball into the box.

 

I was thinking the same about Giakoumakis if Jota and Forrest can get him good service. There is definitely hope there in the players we have for these upcoming games but equally there is a lot of unknows and the fact that none of these guys have played together before that is a big worry.

Missing a lot of key players through injury and international call ups. Celtic will have to grind out a win like the did in some games in December. It should be an interesting game to see how deep the squad really is. Hoping for something like this:

 

Agree with that apart from Welsh- a know he didn’t start great but feel starfelt far better all round defender than Welsh

 

Think we still have more than enough to win this game, even with all our injuries and internationalists, we have a strong team.
