Liam Scales

For me the easy contrast in what we need and what we have at left back is look across the pitch. Look at Juranovic and Ralston at right back as against Scales and Taylor. Scales and Taylor are decent and I am fine with them in the squad but as backups for me.

 

I like him, he offers something completely different when he plays.

Will he be good enough to be first choice? probably not, but I think he could become a very useful squad player for us.

 

100%. I think we can all agree that we need a first choice LB that we can hang our coat on, come in and hit the ground running.
If we do get a new all singing and dancing LB in, we should look to have Scales as back up and try offload Taylor. Scales was low dollar, has potential, can fill in elsewhere in the team if needed.

 

Yeah like compare scales or Taylor to juranovic and Ralston even, night snd day. We need this quality all over the park. And for sure I think scales will be solid back up and can be a good rotational player, he even said himself his preferred position is CB. Could possibly see hit sit in front of the defence aswell but wouldn’t want to shift him about too much

 

Promising signs from the young man. He seems to have a good presence on the pitch.
Looking forward to seeing him improve over the next few seasons.

 

I like him he reminds me of lustig the way he plays, but we all prefer a fast overlapping fullback

 

Same build as well. If he ends up having a career at Celtic even remotely close to Lustig that would be amazing but I just don't see it. I think he looks like a decent squad player for us but would be surprised if he ever became more then that.

I really like him tbh, think he'll grow to comfortably be our second-choice LB.

Would start him against Hearts.

 

Good cross for the goal but think he’s absolutely clueless.

Constantly out of position defensively and always moving into spaces occupied by other players when we’ve got it and getting in the way.

 

Still need better at left back.

 

Has decent technique and can whip in a good ball.

Ultimately he should be a back up player though. But so should our first choice LB.

 

Happy to have him backup to a new left first choice left back.

 

Think he lacks a bit of confidence in himself. I think Ange is managing him well and he will improve as he plays more and more. Could easily have hard another two assists tonight

Good going forward but don't think he could be trusted in the long term defensively. Played a big part in us conceding and alloas best chance outside the goal.

 

Struggled today. Thought Ange did the right thing pulling him and Forrest off at half time.

 

Takes too many touches to get it inder control and keep it moving..

Also positionally, runs in to traffic too much..
