He’s simple on the ball and hasn’t got the vision or ability on the ball to describe it as good. And he can tend to panic sometimes when he’s trying to move forward with the ball and gets surrounded, couple that with his tendency to get bullied people go for him.

As it is, guys like Boyle and Nisbet are the exact type that I’d be comfortable in him playing against, the thing with Starfelt is, he’s actually * amazing at covering, making the run back and defending when facing his own goal. That’s by far his biggest strength for me and that’s two strikers that play in behind and don’t ruffle any feathers.

He was a lot more physical tonight, a * of a lot more, which makes me think Ange has been working on it with him during the break. Let’s hope he keeps it up but because he does need to improve and prove himself here.

I'm one of his biggest critics but I thought he was superb tonight. Far more aggressive.

Was listening to Sportsound and out of nowhere Michael Stewart and Tom English just started talking about how much better John Souttar is than Starfelt :56:

    1) They are wrong.

    2) It had no relevance at the time.

    3) The media including the aforementioned and people like Keevins have an irrational disliking of him. They need a scapegoat and Starfelt is it.

This guy is getting better and better and some folk can't let go the fact he took time to settle. Some players do. Every defender makes a mistake now and again but he's been solid more times than not now. Good signing.

Totally agree. Arguably his best performance since joining us.

Big man was solid last night, if he can keep up that level of performance for the second half of the season big CJ won't be getting a start for a bit yet

He was superb last night and actually should have got MOM although I get giving it to Reo, being the new guy, who was also very good. If he can maintain this form then it won't be a contest as to who the better player is RE Souttar.

Played really well. I do have a concern though that he pushes in the back a bit too much when challenging aerially. Thought he got away with it a couple of times but got caught on one of our corners.

If he can continue with such performances I can see McGregor lifting the first ever Conference League trophy up in the sky of Tirana :84:

I've noticed that as well. Ajer did it too. It's as though scared of getting hit in the face.

Funny that they won't go near Taylor, the Scottish international. He was and is by far the biggest concern for me defensively.

Stewart has had a clear agenda against him for a while now..

Didn't hear it the other day but I've heard them go through Starfelt multiple time's on that show, even when he's been fine..

Think the guy has been playing very well over the past few months.
