    I nothing them. They're a nothing club.

They think they're a big club because there are no other clubs of note in 100 miles. Same could be said as Norwich being a big club.

I just have a general dislike of any club that attempts to buy success with money they didn't earn.

    For me it's the opposite.

I always found Sunderland to be very Hunnish. Very into the military, poppy *, the queen and brexit.

Found Newcastle fans, despite obvious delusions, to be more anti-establishment and pro-Celtic.

I still find Newcastle annoying as * though.

I think the Geordies are that devoted that they hate anything that ain’t Newcastle. As for Sunderland, I get the same feeling about pro Brit etc. Even though Sunderland has a decent size Irish support. Don’t think I’d like to go see a game there.

Chris Wood for £20 million no less. Shows the madness down there. He’s a big coo. Reality check for the cousins of Gazza

Chris Wood? Jesus, is that to try and hinder Burnley? He's having a * season and Burnley could easily replace him with easily.

That’s the only thing I can’t think off with this. Sign our biggest relegation rivals main goal threat since we have so much money.

He isn't their top scorer this season though, Cornet is although he is at AFCON. I think Newcastle run the risk of Burnley improving up there and spending £20m on a player wo doesn't improve them.

I have a soft spot for Geordie’s. Genuinely good ‘salt of the earth’ people, in my experience at least.

Can’t be arsed with the club though, and actively wanting them to fail after the Slavery Arabia takeover.

The fact that Wood is being potentially sold for 20m is mind boggling. He has 3 goals in 21 games this season. His career total for Burnley is 53 goals in 165 games and on top of all that he is 30!
We bought Kyogo for 4.5m. So according to those numbers Wood is roughly 4 times better then Kyogo which of course is utterly laughable. Just shows how insane and inflated the transfer fees are in the epl.

If Burnley are able to spend the 20m wisely they may end up with a striker who improves them while at best Newcastle have * away 20m on an at best average striker who has never been prolific in the epl. If this deal goes through it is a massive gamble by both clubs and may well play a big role in which of the 2 clubs (as IMHO one of them will) goes down.

It is certainly one thought and may well work out that way. The opposite view is the guy hasn't ever been prolific in the epl has only got 3 goals this season and now Burnley have 20m to spend on a striker this month who might actually be able to score enough goals to keep them up. They certainly would be hard pressed to * away the money on one who scores less.

Maybe we can offer then Ajeti for 5m. Probably would score more goals then Wood.

Not really a gamble by Burnley as Newcastle are triggering a release clause. But I actually agree that Ajeti would probably do just as well as Wood.

Apparently Newcastle ended up paying £25m for Woods. I get he scored double figures the previous seasons but he was the primary goal scorer with attacks built around him, not a great return. He provides few assists either. When you think that Palace paid far less for Eddy its insane.
