I don’t think we need any more second rate players in our squad. Get this rumour tae *.

Hardly a glowing career with Hibs Dundee & Montrose.

Good player we signed brown who I think played for Cowdenbeath and hibs 4.4 million people will say he had a league cup to his name drove up the price but Boyle won a Scottish cup I’d pay the 3 million if he was younger big thing for me is he’s injury prone and that why I wouldn’t part with that cash

I should of specified age too. That career would of been fine if he was 25,26 & we were interested.

The time to sign Boyle was a few seasons back before he signed a new contract at Hibs, when he was available for 500k and hadnt committed to the Australia.

Now i think we have better quality in wide areas and he has the long travel to OZ duty that Rogic has had to endure.

that being said, its still apparent some of our fans turn their nose up at Hibs players with this same superiority complex, akin to that when we were in for John Mcginn.
We could as easily sign an expensive alternative on big wages with no experience in the league for him to flop.

Boyle is in the top 3 players outside Celtic and Rangers and is an established, quality SPL player in his own right. He is a dangerous player and can be a game winner on his day.

But for me the ship has sailed and with Jota, Maeda Forrest, etc there is now too much quality.

and we still have a huge talent in Dembele who we should look to give game time to.

How much is he realistically earning at Hibs at the moment?

Can understand why he'd be interested. Could set him up for life and probably easier for travelling with Australia

Maybe he's a footballer who has got some morals and doesn't fancy the Saudi regime

What would he be earning if he gets his ‘dream’ move.

Al Faisaly have made Martin Boyle a life-changing offer that would see the Hibs star make in excess of £1.5million a year.

It comes as manager Shaun Maloney added to his own squad with the loan signing of Rocky Bushiri on-loan from Norwich City.

Record Sport exclusively revealed last month the Saudi Arabians’ interest in the Australia winger last month and they have now tabled an improved £2.25million bid.

Al Faisaly’s opening £500,000 offer was rejected but they have since made multiple offers – including one of £2m – but the latest is now north of that figure.

The big-money offer has now been put to Hibs owner Ron Gordon to make a final decision.

Boyle has been made aware of the deal that would net him more than £29,000 a week.

The Socceroo only signed a new contract in the last window, as Aberdeen failed in a £500,000 bid to trigger an early clause that was in his last deal.

Boyle has since signed fresh terms at Hibs until 2024 and is currently one of the Easter Road club’s highest earners.

But that is nothing to what he could pocket in the Middle East.

The 28-year-old also came up the hard way via spells at Montrose and Dundee.

Boyle has been one of Hibs’ top stars this season and in recent campaigns but it depends whether Gordon will decide to cash in.

His decision to represent Australia has opened up this lucrative option in Saudi Arabia.

Hibs boss Shaun Maloney is also waiting for a decision as he continues to mould his own squad.

He has brought in Ewan Henderson from Celtic, Bodo Glimt’s Elias Melkersen and Harry Clarke on-loan from Arsenal.

Hibs failed in a £175,000 bid for Barnsley’s Toby Sibbick and then turned their attentions to Belgian under-21 defender Rocky Bushiri.

Surely Hibs will let him go if a Saudi club is really offering in excess of £2 million. I get that he's an important player for them, but he's nearly 29 and and it's not like holding onto him will win them the league...

    ...or will it?! :fear:

Nonsense. If someone offered 1,5-2m for him, they would bite their hand off ffs :56:

In about a year or so he will be worth peanuts.
