Just some of his weird beliefs. :56:

"I've seen people and I know some people that, through that energetical transformation, through the power of prayer, through the power of gratitude, they manage to turn the most toxic food or most polluted water, into the most healing water.
"Because water reacts and scientists have proven that, that molecules in the water react to our emotions, to what is being said.
"I truly believe that we should continuously, every single day that when we sit, we sit without cameras, without phones … or even worse having nervous discussions and conflictual (sic) discussions at the table with your close ones during your meal."

Because assuming he would be allowed entry, is mental.

He’s one of the most recognised athletes on the planet, while she is an unranked women tennis player who nobody would know if they walked into her.

Imagine the entire Celtic squad travelled to Australia just now, and none of them were vaccinated or had received an exception to enter. Would you be happy if they travelled there on the basis of their mate Davie having gained entry while being unvaccinated?

He’s an elite level athlete and mult-millionaire. You don’t go to these places under assumptions, at least not if you’ve got people around you who are doing their jobs correctly.

Rafa back on form. Also his 19th straight season winning at least one title.

Why should it be different from him compared to her though? Surely the rules have to be consistent. If she was allowed in and allowed to compete, then when he gets his exemption, why would he think he would be treated differently to her? Stature in the game etc doesn’t even come into the argument. The Australians be doing there due diligence on anyone entering the country, whether they are tennis players or not. They obviously haven’t done that, and it has led to them looking rather silly. Djokovic and Voracova have been caught up in the mess created by the Australians themselves.

    Court quashes visa decision

Judge Anthony Kelly reads out a minute agreed to by both the government and Djokovic, where he quashes the decision to cancel Novak Djokovic’s visa, orders government to pay costs, and for Djokovic to be released from detention in 30 minutes with his passport and personal effects released to him.

The minute notes Djokovic was allowed until 8.30am when he was originally detained to response to the notification to cancel his visa, but the decision was made at 7.42am.

It found if he had had more time he could have consulted more widely and responded further than he was able to.

This is why it was so delayed: they were coming to an agreement.

    To summarise:

    • The Australian government has agreed to revoke the decision to cancel Novak Djokovic’s visa last week, meaning the visa he came to Australia on stands, and he will be released from detention and get his passport and other personal effects back.
    • The reason for this is the government acknowledged it didn’t give Djokovic enough time after notifying him of the intent to cancel his visa to speak to others and respond fully.
    • Notwithstanding that, the immigration minister, Alex Hawke, can now personally intervene and decide to cancel his visa anyway on entirely new grounds. Which the government flagged in court may be something that happens.
    • If that happens, it could end up back in court because Djokovic would face being banned from Australia for three years if the minister decides to cancel the visa.
The hearing has ended now. That’s all for now.

Djokovic winning on a technicality because of being given a lack of time. Pretty embarrassing for the Aussie government.

If the Immigration Minister does cancel his visa, there is a chance the Australian Open could end up getting moved away from the country. That’s what was getting reported this morning. Pretty dangerous game for the Australian Government to be involved in now. Even if Djokovic is allowed to play, his preparation is completely out the window. I’d be amazed if he can go on to win it. Interesting to see how this plays out now. As I said yesterday, the Australians have brought this on themselves.

Let's play the Australian open... not in Australia. How's that gonna work? Because of 1 player no getting a jag? Doubt it.

The Australian journalist on LBC was saying that it could be a possibility this morning. This is only if they decide to cancel Djokovic’s visa. Got to feel for Djokovic, he has done nothing wrong here, but has been caught up in political point scoring. Even when a judge has ruled in his favour, the Australians might still not accept it. Shocking behaviour from them.

Nothing wrong? Depends. If the country has rules about needing a jag to travel there then that's the rules. If it turns out a medical excemptions because he's had covid isn't valid for an exemption then thats that.

Then were forgetting hes been seen out and about multiple times during the time he tested positive. So he's far from completely innocent in my eyes and will be glad when he's booted out in a few hours time.

Djokovic hasn't done 'nothing wrong'. He's claimed in court to have tested positive for covid on 16th December and there's photos of him mixing with people on the 17th.

Djokovic has done nothing wrong here might be the worst take of anything I’ve ever seen on this forum.

‘Tested positive’ and on that day and the preceding days was amongst all sorts of folk including kids and a modelling shoot.

He’s either been passing covid about or he’s a bare faced liar. Either way - he’s a tadger.

    Thanks for playing lads.

I thought you would all be happy. After all, why would you not want to watch the greatest tennis player on the planet compete? The hate for him is hilarious. For what it’s worth, if he did knowingly go out and about with Covid, then it’s absolutely shocking. We don’t know the full story there yet though, so let’s not hang him just yet. The fact is, he was wrongfully kept in a hotel, and it has hampered his chances for winning this tournament. A judge has ruled in his favour, let him get on with his job. I still think the Government might cancel his visa though. Which would be another embarrassing moment for the Australians.
