They're bloated with money too from sky. Newcastle are to the EPL what the EPL are to world football

Tripper isn't a bad signing and I think that they will aim for players like him to come in aged 29 plus who should be able to stop relegation. I really hope they relegate but I think at this point it will be Watford, Norwich and Burnley.

How I would love to see this lot and their dirty money relegated. Newcastle fans at the best of times have an over-inflated opinion of their club and some of them have now become quite impossible. If you throw enough money around in football you usually end up with success but it would be nice to watch them struggle in the notoriously difficult and unpredictable Championship for a few years.

I really wanted Howe in the summer, but it looks like a huge bullet dodged by us. I know Newcastle aren't the best, but he can't even get an EPL team playing against a League 1 team at home.

Think the red flag was planted on the manner of why he knocked Celtic back he felt he couldn’t perform with out certain backroom staff he used to have he wanted all that in place right away even did it before he came to Newcastle

Would be great if they were relegated man. I think they'll prob string together enough in second half of the season but here's hoping. Don't really care about English football but seeing clubs like this getting their arses handed to them will always be entertaining.

I remember reading that he felt like he failed at Burnley because he wasnt surrounded by the right people.

The only time Newcastle have been any good was that spell in the 90s under Keegan when they should have won the league then bottled it.

I think Howe would've been great for us. Better than Ange? Who knows? We certainly didn't think Ange would be as good as he is (I'm not inviting responses from Aussies getting irate with that statement).

Newcastle are in free fall and over the last 20+ years have been a relegation candidate club most seasons. I'm not surprised they're struggling.

They may go down and will probably come back up within a year or 2 max. Prime Mourinho would struggle to stop this downward spiral.

Will be interesting to see how he does after this transfer window. By all accounts though he struggled with "bigger names" when he managed Bournemouth

He wouldn't have to deal with big names if he came to us as most players left :56:

That's true. Wouldn't have signed Kyogo either :84:

I think they will just scrape survival this season tbh but I would absolutely * love it if they went down.
