He’ll make a good go of top of championship down south or another league similar to that of Jonny Russells level, would say he’s better than hibs but we shouldn’t be going for him

So you prefer some of our youth team making debuts instead of a Johnny Hayes or Boyle..

You dont seem to understand squad depth pal

Saying you’d give a nut for a Johnny Hayes type says how little ambition you have for the club.

Celtic absolutely do not need a ‘Johnny Hayes’ Fucksake. We had one and he was a diddy who was massively out of his depth.

Canny believe people are seriously suggest a winger who’s about to turn 28 and has had one decent season in top flight football.

    Hibs is Boyle’s level.

Yet people constantly made excuses for him :giggle1:

Awful footballer. No technique and couldn’t cross a ball to save himself. Thought he was faster than he was and constantly ran the ball out of play.

    Grim.

Yeah totally out of his depth..

Hayes put in some great performances for us when asked in different positions..a very decent squad player.

Boyles current form.. I couldn’t care what age he is.. Been a while since any Celtic player layed a glove on the huns.. Boyle would be a decent addition to our squad..

And how does me wanting to add depth our squad show my lack of ambition? We should sign Ronaldo.. that ambitious enough for you?

Scoring a goal against the Huns, a rebound from a sitter he missed at that, does not mean he was not out his depth fucksake.

Wit next we should bring Lennon back cos we won that game? We should bring * Moritz Bauer back? Give Broony a phone while we’re at it.

There’s a world of difference between signing Martin Boyle and adding depth.

Rebound and sitter..:56: I never said resign Johnny Hayes FFS.. :56:Hayes wasn't a first pick but he wasn't bad to have when short on numbers. Far from a diddy.

Martin Boyle would fit into the same category..he would add a bit of depth.

You said it yourself. Johnny Hayes wasn’t good enough even as cover. A bad signing.

    ‘Same category’ lol.

Crying out for his play last season. Lad has big balls and rarely ever let us down.

He's one of those players who you'd sign for free as back-up but you wouldn't spend money on him. He'd do a job in Europe with his pace and work rate but in the League he probably wouldn't kick a ball as he's not got the extra wee bit of quality to make a difference, players like Hayes and Kenny Miller we've had like him never really done anything, Agathe had to become a right-back although his pace was 3 levels above.

Never at any point have we ever been crying out for Jonny Hayes.

Saying he rarely let us down is pish. He was absolutely brutal.

Anytime a player is described as * like having big balls, dig, no nonsense etc. It means they’re not good at football but they runaround a bit.

In 3 seasons he scored two league goals and had 4 assists.

That’s not even taking into account * like how awful was defensively and couldn’t pass a ball.

Even in last seasons * show Greg Taylor, who isn’t good enough and has a * final ball, got more assists than Hayes did in his whole time here.

Hayes was * pish. Anyone defending him is doing it because he’s a Sellick man and ran about a bit.

Using the goal against the huns as some sort of example that he was good for us is a brass neck. A last minute counter attack where he * the first shot and scored the rebound from what, 8 yards out or something?

    He was hopeless.

Not for £3m, I would have taken him on a free for an impact sub when the game gets stretched but not for a transfer and we also have Maeda now.
