I hear you I have been dreading reading the confirmation of these rumours all day. By the sounds of things our lineup Sunday is going to be even worse then last season when we had to play games with a large chunk of the first team out due to covid if these rumours are correct. We already are decimated by the amount of injury's we have right now without getting hit with a covid out break.

 

Who knows where Giakoumakis, Forrest, Jullien and Jota are. They may have gotten abducted by Reptilian extraterrestrials into a UFO for experimental purposes for a while.

How many weeks have passed since the Livi game at home ? He was not injured in that game.

What is this 'injury' that Giakoumakis has and when did he get it ? Does he need counsellng ? Why is he not playing ?

Kyogo has been running himself into the ground playing for Celtic since he arrived from Japan and is now at risk of further injury.

Giakoumakis got some new boots some time back, why is he not wearing them on the pitch ?

 

Putting CCV up front against a weakened team with no attack, at a certain stage of the game to meet crosses with his head, would be a viable option in my opinion if we had good cover at the back. Need to think outside the box when the situation warrants it.

There have been players in the past that have played as central defenders and also as forwards, given the game situation.

John Charles, Sam Alladyce, Bill Foulkes, Jose Schiaffino, come to mind.
