Let be honest here lads, plenty of posters on here were disrespectful in their words about Ange and his credentials before he came here. Just the same as many Aussie's were quick to tell us how lucky we were to be getting a manager of his calibre despite never setting foot in a European top flight.

The most important thing is all of the * being talked by every * means * all to the big man. He just goes about his work like a top professional no matter how excitedly or dramatically people describe him.

I'm glad he's with Celtic and it seems a perfect fit just now.

Just reflecting on the job this mad has done in such a short period of time and its trully remarkable considering where we were after last season.
I think a new manager really has four main obligations when coming into the Celtic job.
    1. Get the best out of the players already at the club. Rogic, McGregor, Ralston to name but a few are playing the best football of their careers and have gone to another level.
    2. Bring in players who will improve the team. Has a manager ever had such a quick and decisive impact with new recruits? Kyogo, Jota, Abada, Hart, CCV have all been revelations since joining.
    3. Convey an ethos and style of play to the players. Ange-ball has been breathtaking at times this season. Improving week on week as the players have adapted to the managers unique style. In full flow its a joy to watch and trully the 'Celtic Way'.
    4. Last and most importantly of all install in the players a winning mentality. This last trait effectively combines the other three traits together do to the most important thing in football and thats win. Never say die attitude, character, resolve, rising to the big occassion. Yesterday the team proved that they could do all of things!
We all know that this is only the start of the journey but at this time I wouldnt want anyone else at the helm that Ange Postecoglou.

Not sure if in correct thread. But this is still one of the most interesting interviews with Vince Rugari talking about Ange at a time we were hitting the skids.

19.55 mins in he talks about that "breakthrough game". I wonder if that was Ross County, where against the odds we found a winner while sticking to Ange's principles?

Annoyed at myself for ever doubting him.

Its quite scary that he's only 6 months in. Imagine 2 or 4 windows time! We are still in the middle of the rebuild, it's barely started.

    Exciting times.

This. The amount of posts going mental about the aussies (not all of them) was unreal, folk were getting proper wound up. :giggle1:
The amount of cringey * was unbearable, but understanding I guess considering how little a nation they are in football terms.

As the (cricket) saying goes down here, “I’m gonna let that one go through to the keeper” :56:

I’m just glad you guys are starting to see what we already knew. As I said back then, you don’t know what you don’t know :50:

To be fair I don’t really blame Celtic fans for being sceptical when he was first appointed given he had no European experience. Had hoped for years that an English championship club would give him a go especially considering the quality of some of the managers there. Was a bit surprised myself a high profile club like Celtic would be his first stop.

I thought he was far beyond any coaches here in the A League and was delighted he was appointed national coach but concerned because talent was so thin. He did a great job with vastly inferior teams. But he continually copped it from ex players and those in the media especially from Sydney. Very unfair and I think in the end he’d had enough.

Football’s a fickle game and things could still go awry on him but good to see the early success in what was a pretty difficult situation when he started, none of his own coaches, no med/fitness specialist , no DoF and virtually had to arrange own transfers to a fairly thin squad considering the outs.

    Don't know about that.

He was made an offer he couldn't refuse by the CFG.

Which could happen again when you see how well he's doing with Celtic.

Best we all play down his successes.

Happy to rub it in that i was delighted when he was named.
Always thought it was a "risky" appointment. But nonetheless was very optimistic.

    So yeah. Im * awesome.

On another note... Howe (get it?) lucky were we that Ange isnt actually a conceited * hat.
Plenty of managers out there, high caliber or not, would've told us to do one, once they discovered they were 2nd, maybe 3rd choice. Reluctant to be set up as a fall guy.

But the big mans total belief in his abilities make * like that just irrelevant.
