& Soro, it looks like Mccarthy has leapfrogged him in the pecking order & theres a good chance we'll strengthen the midfield in Jan.

Promising youngsters to gout on loan.

Shaw - thought he looked good in preseason & I honestly thought we'd see more of him from the back of those games.

Dane Murray - looked good when called on, good enough to play at a decent level regularly.

Demebele - if he's fit enough to go out & play. I think next season is make it or move on. Would be great to get him first team experience In prep for next season.

Maybe Moffat, urhoghide & Lawal as well?

 

Dembele's contract is up this season, unless he signs an extension no real point in trying to find him a loan.

I'm the opposite..

 

I really hope we don't drag the * out of this window with a bit of luck ange has told the board how essential it is we get a few in the door pronto.

 

The more i keep thinking about this squad, the more I think we are just 1 or 2 quality signings away from a fantastic starting 11.

We need to get a new central midfielder to play beside McGregor, who's going to both impose himself on the opponent's to break up their game and control the midfield, but also contribute to forward balls to support the front 4.

A left back of real quality, to allow juranovic to fight it out with Ralston at right back is the other need.


After that, we are still another 3-5 decent calibre of squad players available to having a fantastic 18 man match day squad, peppered then with the youth/fringe to develop(up to a 25 man squad).

Would be truly ideal this window.

As a match day squad SHOULD be ideal.
I'd assume the two Japanese boys will fill the left back and midfield positions, with maeda being another option in the forward roles. Taking a tally of 19 quality players to rotate with. Even 20 if we add Bitton, who just always looks to be around the squad in some form.

Mikey, Dembele, Murray, Tobi, Henderson, scales, Shaw, Uhri, lawal, moffat, vata.

They should all be either around the 25 man squad this season, or pushing to be in it come next season.

Look to keep as much of that together as we can going in to the summer and next season and we should start next season very very strongly.

Ajeti, barkas, McCarthy, soro could all be let go to free up what would be no doubt large wages in comparison to the squad now.

If Kyogo is out for a month, then I'm certain maeda will start on the second.

 

100% these 4, along with Bain, Hazard and Taylor.
