Our most complete performance for a while. We’ve been getting the results but today we also put on a great performance.

He'd be too busy counting his petro-dollars to play football.

What a performance it was today. Them 2 goals in the first half were top quality, can’t stop watching them. Rogic is unplayable at times when he’s in the mood.

Just watched the highlights bcoz my son was playing football at the same time. The challenge on Turnbull is a * disgrace, how that isn't a red I'll never know...

It's one game though you can't just use that as an example and run a mile with it, yes CalMac was immense today, arguably MOTM, but in the long run, Bitton at the 6, CalMac in the 8 and Rogic in the 10 would be the best MF in terms of overall balance, Bitton bar one slack moment was excellent when he came on, that pass to Abada for the third was top drawer, just as CalMacs ball for Turnbull was also top drawer, but CalMac can still play those passes from the 8 role too.

CalMac was brilliant at defending, reading the game and winning back possession today, but I still think Bitton would be more effective in that role overall over a period of 10 games, with CalMac just ahead of him.

Absolutely no question that was a straight red. Fuchs got away with a dirty shot at Forrest early on as well that was for sure a yellow.

Come on now it was just an "honest mistake".
Seriously though no question that was a red.

Thought we would win today but to go there and win 3-0 and that be a scoreline that massively flattered them is testimony to how well we played today. Superb performance and Rogic's goal was nothing short of sublime.

Several important players on the injury list and none of them were Rogic, who then plays absolutely brilliantly for 70 mins and scores THAT goal.

    Times have changed.

Is it just one game though? Cal has been doing it all year in that position and has been getting better each game.

The whole balance of the team is so much better with the CalMac, Turnbull and Rogic midfield. Especially in the SPL.

While Bitton was excellent when he came on, and fair do’s for that ball to Abada, he doesn’t provide the same goal threat level as the other 3 to push one of them out of the team. Personally I think Bitton is perfect for the role as fresh legs when one of our midfielders fatigues and to close out a game.

Turnbull is also our set piece taker, and while he’s been a bit hit and miss with it, I wouldn’t be leaving Turnbull out of the team in Scotland to shoehorn Bitton in. And going by your nic, you aren’t leaving Rogic out(nor would I).

By the end of next season, Ange is going to make CalMac one of the best 6’s, if not the best, that Celtic has ever had.

Turnbulls set pieces are in the main poor let's be honest, both from crosses and shots they're not consistently good enough to have him as the main set pieces taker. This isn't about 'shoe horning' Bitton into the team, I've got him in there on merit, the Bayer Leverkusen away game was clear in why Bitton is crucial to have in that role, he's very good at reading the game and breaking up play, tbf to CalMac he's done that side of the game very well recently but Bitton is still superior at it imo, plus he also adds extra aerial ability in both boxes.

Turnbull is a blind spot for Ange, scored a great goal but once again his overall game just isn't at the required level to be a consistent starter imo, in Europe and Sevco fixtures Turnbull is mostly a man down, going to constantly hold us back as a team if his continued selection keeps happening, need better balance to that MF which Bitton provides, too good a player to be starting on the bench.

Scottish football will not progress with the standard of refereeing as shown at present.

If the Scottish Football Association does not wish to be seen as an inferior organisation going forward, then it needs to take action NOW.

The tackle on Turnbull of Celtic, by Butcher of Dundee Utd was a red card offence. Not a yellow. Turnbull was put in danger of a serious injury in a tackle that was not intended to win the ball nor was the ball touched by Butcher in this incident. The bottom of the studded boot made forceful direct contact in a physically propelled and lunging tackle to the lower leg of Turnbull by Butcher.

This can be deemed to be legally a physical assault on another person, and not a part of the accepted rules of playing football.

If this had been an English Premier League game or English Championship League game Butcher would have been given a red card for this 'tackle'. Which begs the question - do referees in the SPL follow the football rules book when they are paid to officiate, or are they making a personal subjective decision when on the field ? To my knowledge, the rules are there to be followed by all referees.

This unfortunately is happening week after week and is now nothing short of scandalous.

It will not prompt future television rights coverage of Scottish football because no one wants to see dirty and violent football or it being allowed to go unpunished by bad refereeing.

We want people with integrity on that field. These are paid workers on the field. The legislation says that they have the right, by law, to work in a safe and controlled work place. If players and referees allow them to be put in danger then they need to be legally dealt with according to the Act that covers Occupation Health And Safety.

Such tackles are a blight on the game. In this case Butcher created negatives by his rash challenge.

By being red carded he would have left his team with 10 players on the field to compete.
He could have seriously and painfully injured Turnbull, with no intent of winning the ball, and ruined his career and his ability to earn a living. This is far from the intention of playing football.

Scottish football will be seen as being run by incompetents who are not meeting their responsibilities and at the same time being paid handsomely for sub- standard and inferior work by those in charge of running the game in Scotland.

Scotland is not a third world country . This situation must not be tolerated any longer.
