Hopefully mental just from his lack of game time the last 18 month, he might be worried about going full tilt incase he gets injured again before he really gets fit and going.

Absolutely awful last night but bit of perspective, we don't need to hammer and write off all our young academy players after every bad game (Welsh montgomery Johnson). Did we not learn anything from Ralston. Johnson needs to get stronger more confident and more direct

Real opportunity for him if he gets to start on Sunday. Hope he grabs it with both hands.

He just doesn’t make the right decisions, he shoots when he should pass, he cuts inside when he should vary his play and hit the byline. He just plays with his head down, has no awareness of the game round about him.

All things you iron out if you get game time as a younger player. His injurys have really held him back. He's now going to have a good run at it with jota out so let's see if he improves.

While I agree to a degree, Ralston is just an anomaly. A complete one in a million chance how he has turned his Celtic career around. He has grafted and been unselfish, putting his body on the line for the club. MJ won't.

I don't think Montgomery has what it takes either. I know it's early days for him but I don't see that much improvement from one appearance to the next. He has plenty of time though.

Welsh definitely has a future here, even if it's just as back up. He showed last night that he is more than capable of stepping in when needed.

Regardless, both Montgomery and Welsh are younger than MJ. If MJ doesn't show his worth this season, he should be shown the door and rightly so.

I get why people are sceptical about him. Everyone seems to agree he has talent, but he's never proven it on a consistent basis and no one needs reminding of his injury problems.

With Jota likely being out for a match or two, at the very least, I'm glad he's an option as our squad depth is thin. This is a good chance for him to show a bit more.

He was a Kyogo miss away from an assist on Sunday, hopefully he makes some goal contributions this weekend.

He needs loaned out for consistent game time, plenty ability but his decision making is awful.

If the form you mainly show is poor then that’s pretty much the type of player you are.

He's not as good as he thinks he is but he does have the potential to be. if he got his head right I could see him explode. He was getting there summer 19.

Agree and he also seems to either have lost pace or is afraid to go full throttle. A make or break month for him. We so need him to step up right now. He is no a kid anymore.

    A mixed bag from him..

Thought he linked well with Taylor but his end product lacked, needs a goal for a confidence boost.

Thought he was one of our better players first half. Carried a threat and unsettled their backline. Would like to see him carry that through the full game though.

Decent game. Still a little slack at times but he was involved in a lot of good stuff today.

Thought he was good and lively but think his decision making is still a bit off, passes sometimes when he should run and tries run sometimes when he should pass etc. Still thought overall he was good

Massive progression from Thursday night. Needs to keep at this. Today was going to be a tough game and we dominated. We have a couple of easier games coming up with Motherwell at home and Ross County away. He needs to show the same level of play and we should be ok up until the huns game. Would probably rest him for Thursday but don't think we have any other options on the wings at the moment.

Rest him or Atleast take him off around the 60 minute mark, bring on Montgomery or abada/forrest even cause we need to manage him wisely with his injury history
