Nah Boli is *, rather have Juranovic who can defend as well. But I would like a natural left back to come in but I think Ange is going to keep Juranovic there.

That * referee needs to have his wages docked . No way was that a penalty. There should be a review. He was like the hanging judge Roy Bean from the Wild West.

I also notice that many of these guys do not get in a physical position to get their visual angles correct to make a proper decision. The Aberdeen player took a dive, no Celtic boot touched him. Many of you on this forum at the start of the season were bemoaning the woeful level of refereeing in the SPL. Now I understand how legitimate your concerns are.

I can’t believe we finally got a genuine, “I don’t care how it goes in. I don’t care if it’s a deflection in off somebody’s * as long as Celtic score”.

A win was the most important thing. Aberdeen got a lucky penalty. We got a lucky goal. Could have and should have scored more and made it a little bit easier but I'll take 2-1 wins for the rest of the season.

Another thing to remember is that's a tough game to play after a trip to Germany and a full 90 minutes against Leverkusen. To go a goal up fairly early on then get hit with a penalty like that just before half time would be draining too.

The squad is thin and they * had already won earlier in the day. When you take all that into account it's a massive win.

One extra factor was Bertie's funeral. The team seem to have come straight off a 2-3 hour flight and into 3 hours sitting on pews on what I would assume is their day off between these games.

Obviously not complaining but I think it's another big thing to take into consideration. This was a very good win for the team.

My point is simply that virtually every player these days dives or at least goes down under the most minimal of contact so you have to be especially careful with your movements in your own box. Abada didn't actually touch the dons player but by floating his leg out there, when he's not gonna get the ball, enables the situation to arise.

I never disputed the fact that Bates dived, the problem is that Abada, by aimlessly floating a leg out there in the first place, enables the situation to arise and allows the ref to be conned by Bates. Every player these days dives or looks to go down, Abada should have realised that and been more careful with his movements, as should all our players when the opposition is in our box.

There is no question that was flat out a dive and yet another "honest mistake" to add to the masons season tally.

No doubt about it under the circumstances it was a solid if not brilliant performance and a massively important win. Given the sheer volume of games between now and the end of December I think we may have to be able to grind out a few games along the way.
