Honestly think the competition is a great idea. I have thought about weather we could win it today and I honestly don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility. We would have to be top of our game and have a bit of luck along the way. But definitely within our reach.

Just a question mind, does the winner of the competition get a CL place?

Hope so but think he'll struggle to be fit enough to be considered in quite a while and struggling to see how he'll end up first pick with the competition being Forrest, Abada and potentially Kyogo or Jota depending on other factors.

I think you get a Europa League place.

To be honest if it meant that it would hamper us winning our domestic league then I dont want it. We need to win that league back. Plus its probably going to mean automatic qualification for the Champions League apparantly. So given the choice between winning the conference league and our domestic league then Id pick our domestic league....its a no brainer.

Yep..asking that question would have a different outlook.

Would people be happy winning a Conference cup and loosing the league for it.

I don't see it is an either/or question.

    Why not aim for both?

I would love a good run in this, even to the final. Wishful thinking definitely but if it effects us winning this league this year then I couldnt care about it TBH. After what happened to us last year I want us to make a statement again that Glasgow is green and white and will continue to be for the foreseeable future! Come May, another treble will do nicely

I’m 100% with you, winning ANY European trophy with our turnover would be an excellent achievement

Well obviously Ange and the team will be aiming for both. But in reality if we're in a slug fest with the huns to win this league then playing 2 games a week, every week is going to have an affect on us. It would be very difficult to succeed in both our domestic league and in Europe. In reality we just dont have a big enough squad for that. Or at least a good enough squad for that. And its not just us that prioritise like this.....English teams have been doing it for years in Europa League so they can concentrate on the EPL.

We were the first team from the British Isles to win the European Cup and we can be the first team ever (and from the British Isles) to win the ECL.

Kieran McGuire trying to say we will lose 38 million from dropping out ? …… news to me seeing as we are more likely to progress further in third comp and their isn’t really a difference in the tv money

We’ve not won a knockout game after Xmas since 2004

That would be a good starting point

According to this, we've already made over £2m more than the huns from European football. Doesn't take in to consideration tv money or ticket sales. Only get £500k prize money for reaching the last 32 as well compared to £300k for Conference.

Can't see tv money being massively different between the Europa and Conference. Not mega bucks in any of them I wouldn't imagine.

Let's be honest it's the diddy cup of Europe and it wont be taken seriously by many teams around the world. Even the europa league is looked down upon by alot of clubs.

I'm finding it hard to get motivated for this tournament if I'm honest
