Even accounting for the fact that the kyogo and biton may have been needed to be replaced why bring on McCarthy and ajeti ,where was soro and giakoumakis .abada on for forrest I can understand taking jota off made no sense at all

Some absolute pish on here. Look at where we were last season til now. The manager has walked into an absolute shitshow. We batteled well not just tonight but with Betis as well. There's a makings a * good team there. It doesn't happen overnight jesus *. We're definitely on the right tracks. Get a * grip.

    This 100%..

That bunch spent 23 million on a player this summer the commentator said.. we are not even in the same stratosphere in terms of spending power..

This is why I couldn't give a * about Europe this season . The hysterical reaction on here to a team beaten by a Big spending Bundesliga team that was put together months ago

We have conceded an awful lots of goals in the EL. That is cause for concern. In saying that tonight had so many positives. Kyogo, Jota and Forrest have the potential to utterly destroy teams. Leverkusen are a top class side but we were excellent, very unfortunate not to get something from that game. In the Europa Conference now though so that is a consolation, any post Xmas European football is to be welcomed especially when we consider the complete mess Ange inherited.

Really good performance tonight, undone by the lack of quality we had on the bench.

This is how far we have come in a short space of time, no blame we win as a team and lose as one. What a night come on the hoops

Though their 1st goal was a well worked corner, goalscorer run from back to front and they blocked every Celtic player,Welch was pulled back possible foul but something Celtic should look at doing at corners

It's a sore one losin two late goals but let's not pish our knickers that was a hard group especially with a new team we're tryin to put together here. Aye it would've been nice if we even got the draw but they're a good side and we gave them a real fright. Build on it now instead of * moanin we've had enough of that pish lately.

The overriding emotion is frustration, away to a quality German side, shows the improvement.

Is it the teams who finish 2nd in their conference group we can play in the play off then?

Ange looked and sounded proper gutted in his BT interview. As the saying goes you learn more from your team in defeat than winning so hopefully he has. The Board need to back him in January big time.

Never expected to win so can’t say I’m too upset, but leading 2-1 away from home in Germany come the 82nd minute and losing 3-2 makes it a punch in the guts nonetheless.

Would have preferred Montgomery, Abada, Johnston up front as subs, with Montgomery tracking back on the left. Never Ajeti at CF, time to prune the tree and get some fresh growth.

They’re just a team who have a few years head start of us.

They’ve been playing the style Ange is implementing since Roger Schmidt went there in 2014. The amount of top young talent they’ve got is scary.

They’ll have several players who played against us who’ll be at the elite clubs in a few years. None of our players will. It’s quite simple.

Ange has shown he can get a poor squad competing with sides like this, Alkmaar and Betis. Now he needs the rest of the football department to match up.

They're 4th or 5th in arguably the best league in Europe. Betis are similar in Primera... Even the Hungarian crew are stronger than the group is making them look... This is lightyears from last year...

Give us another round in the conference, 2 if the draws are nice, and then just focus on the domestic *. This is all window dressing. My biggest concern is that the rest of the Scottish league seems to be collapsing on itself, so there's not much help gonna come our way there in clawing back the points, which is something it'll be difficult to achieve without them

At least we avoid ALL the Conference league GS winners and ALL the other Europa league 3rd placed teams.
We will be drawn against one of the Conference league GS runners up in the Conference league knockout play offs.
    Draw is on 13th December.
These ties are home and away with NO AWAY GOALS RULE. Just et and then penalties if needed

Would say the players taken off in this match should have had the option to stay on if they are ok to do so.

All their hard work at 2-2 negated by inferior subs taking their place at the wrong time in the game and at the same time. We should have maintained possession, slowed it down, look for the chances to score, and run down the clock. A 2-2 result would have been a more honest reflection of the game.

In hindsight aye, but at the point we made the subs we were 2-1 up with something like 15 mins to go only needing a draw to take it to the last game. Sundays game is crucial and far more important that last nights was, so can see why he made the subs.

Just as matter of interest obviously 8 teams drop from ucl and then top 2 from europa league go through so that’s only 24 teams so I take it s 8 winners are in last 16, then 8 second places play 3rd place champions league side to see who will join them in last 16
