Kiro is on the money with all of his posts on Ange. Celtic is definitely a stepping stone for Ange. He wants to coach at the highest level possible.

Big shock. I thought he was our * angie?

Do well here winning titles and he goes with my best wishes, its not like he's giving big licks about being a boyhood celtic fan like Rodgers

I think more accurately the SPL is, Celtic is a great club in its own right, too big for the SPL tbh.

I’m not trying to disrespect Celtic. I’m a Porto supporter and I understand that players and coaches use the club as a stepping stone. As long as they give their all in their time at the club, it shouldn’t be an issue. I understand our place in the “food chain”.

    What a beautiful, beautiful man.

We should be privileged to have him as our manager.

Every manager moves on. But Ange really is a great fit for us. And we're a great fit for him. I could never see Ange doing to us what the rat did. I think we'll mean too much to him, and he comes across as an honourable and decent person. He's one of us.

Any manager could do the same, if Ole got sacked and Ange was there man of course he would. And don’t think there’s any sensible argument about why he shouldn’t or wouldn’t.

But you are disrespecting Celtic. Not your fault as you obviously do not get what Celtic is about. Regardless of the fact that we cannot compete financially with the big clubs from the rich leagues Celtic is something different, As Xavi so eloquently said:

Celtic, like Barcelona, are more than a football club. Our clubs are a symbol of a culture and community that has not always been made welcome in their respective countries.

Celtic has a special character as a club. Yes there is and will in the immediate future be players who come to Celtic hoping to find a path to move onto the riches of the rich leagues but the class ones like say Moussa Dembele grow to appreciate how special Celtic is and become Celts for life and have that connection with us just as even players like Xavi did from his clashes against us.

You can have your "place" in the food chain and accept that all you want. I certainly understand that we cannot compete with the rich leagues clubs financially but that means nothing to the mystique of who we are and what we represent at Celtic and that transcends any "place" in the food chain.

As an example I have no doubt that the vast majority of Celtic fans ( I know I would not) would not tolerate been taken over by an utterly immoral evil regime such a as Newcastle have recently been. We understand our financial disadvantages but we also would not sell our souls like Newcastle have just done quite happily.

I didn’t say anything about your clubs culture or standing in the community. I have read enough about it to understand that it is more than a football club.

As I said, in football terms, Celtic is a stepping stone to “bigger” clubs/leagues. By bigger, I mean clubs that compete at an elite level in Europe/the UCL. Not many clubs can do that outside the Big 5 leagues.. even in my own country Portugal.

I do hope Ange stays for a few seasons and is extremely successful. I’ve really enjoyed watching Celtic play this season and I hope the good times continue.

As every good manager does he will leave eventually when he feels he can’t do any more at the club.Hopefully he leaves us in good standing for Moyes’s reign.

Well I will say this obviously I hope Ange's time at Celtic is successful because I can see what he is trying to do in terms of our style of play and if he is able to pull it off we are going to be treated to some memorable performances. Time will tell if Ange can be a success at Celtic but one thing is for sure he clearly is a class act as a human being so even more so I hope he proves to be a success with us.

All Australian football fans know why Ange left Australia to coach in Greece. He had a great reputation as a coach with South Melbourne and successes also. This was before he became manager/coach of the Australian U/23 national sides.

    This.

Some mental opinions here imo. It’s all hypothetical, because Ange’s time with us has a long way to go yet, but of course he would be off immediately if the right club came in for him, and gave him the chance to test his ambition at a higher level.

It’s football. Every manager and player would. Not sure how anyone can think ‘this time is different’ with a straight face. Better to come to terms with it and let people that move in leave on good terms, imo.
