Guy has been fantastic the last 2 months bar one dodgy pass against Ferancvaros, he's more than made up for it.

 

Hoping the injury doesn't affect the progression he's made through the season. Definitely was shaky to start with and thats understandable, him and CCV have looked solid in recent weeks though.

 

No doubt about it the good form of Starfelt alongside CCV has played a very significant part in our improvement over the last month. So the news that like Rogic he will be back after the next international break is very good.

 

No it isn't. He was being torn to shreds on here by many for a while, and i was one of them. At the time he was one of the worst defenders I had seen here, and your kidding yourself on if you didn't think so to.

He has since improved which means I no longer consider him in that bracket, however he needs to keep this form going because I still * my pants every time he has the ball in our box and I'm still not 100 percent convinced he is the answer.

 

Clean sheet for every game in our latest good run bar one. The one he wasn't involved in. He's alot better than you give him credit for.

 

I think it took him some time to adjust, but seems to have built some confidence and has been pretty solid of late, all defenders have a mistake in them, Boyata was a great defender, but had a howler in him from time to time which was always amplified.

 

When I can maintain a normal heart rate and breathe easy whenever he gets the ball, then I will be happy with him

 

Yeah he's better now. But at the time he was absolutely honking. It wasn't just me ranking him up there with our worst Cbs ever. People on here rank Du Wui as our worst ever defender when he played about 45 minutes of football for us

I'm just not gonna be 100 percent sold on the guy until he's performing well for a longer period of time than he has because of the terrible start he had here,. I don't see how that's me being unfair to him.

And yet we had somebody on here saying he was the worst defender he's seen for Celtic, this forum man.

 

Anyone who still doesn’t see how valuable he is to the team isn’t worth debating.

 

The drop off from him to Welsh is fairly evident.

Better on the ball and a better defender.

 

He's absolutely not better on the ball than Welsh but he is a far better defender.

Yes he is. People still peddling this myth that Starfelt is poor on the ball. It’s embarrassing.

 

I didn't say he was poor on the ball. I said he wasn't better on the ball than Stephen Welsh.

 

Starfelt and Jullien into the squad mix can only be good.

 

He still runs up and does a big panic turn at least once a game. Every game.

 

Don’t think Welsh and CCV are a good match together, but it may just be they don’t know each others game.
