Some utter * in here. He was very good on the ball last night, again. And some of his defending was excellent…again.

This idea that CCV is miles better is nonsense as well. They were as good as each other last night. Not for the first time.

Starfelt is starting to look really comfortable back there which is great. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Seems to be forming up a good relationship and understanding with CCV, and that they're both coming to their best as they do.

You couldn't really blame Starfelt for being all at sea with the mess, and the chopping and changing, he arrived to. And again, just like Ange, we need to remember he's only in Glasgow for about 3 months from most of the way around the world. Folk need to stop getting on his back about every little thing

Hes growing game by game. If he started like this you wouldn't get one comment about him giving you the fear just comments about how * good is ange at signing players? :56: iv never seen a manager get such a hit rate.

Solid defender which i never thought i would say 1-2 months ago. We have high demans here and he coped with te preassure unlike Shane Duffy did.

    * delighted that Starfelt and CCV now have a decent partnership.

Played absolutely fine last night. The fact he didn't majorly stick out says volumes about the way we played. Had he not had a nightmare start to his celtic career, no one would be uttering a * word about his performance last night. Think him and CCV look great together.

The Swede has now told newspaper Aftonbladet in his homeland that he will probably be out for a "couple of weeks'' once the scan confirms the extent of the injury early this week.

Gutted to see him out, who would have heard us say that 2 months ago?

He's grown in to the side as that backline has become more steady and stayed relatively the same for a period of time now.

CARL STARFELT has revealed the timeline for his return from injury.

The Celtic centre-back limped off during the 0-0 draw against Livingston Saturday.

Starfelt, 26, felt a problem and asked for treatment just before the hour mark at Parkhead.

The defender left the pitch holding his hamstring and Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed that was the issue in his post-match comments.

He will now be sweating over the fitness of the Swede who will almost certainly miss the Europa League tie against Ferencvaros on Thursday

Starfelt told Aftonbladet (via Fotbollskanalen): "I have an X-ray tomorrow (Monday) so we will have to look out for it (results), but it's probably an easier stretch. That is still a couple of weeks."

2 Weeks is nowhere near as bad as I feared, infact it gives him some needed rest over the next few weeks and Welsh some game time.

    Does he need a rest?
We are only 11 games in to the season - and as far as I am aware, Russian league isn't a summer league, he had 5 weeks off after last season as well.

I think a lot of our players do tbh, we just can't really afford to given our horrendous squad depth.

Ange would have obviously played him during the next 2 games, but this means Welsh gets a few extra games and Starfelt won't be called up to the Sweden squad, can only be good for us.

In fairness to Starfelt he has been playing away very solidly as we went on this recent run of wins and really turned things around from the really poor start he had to his Celtic career but 2 weeks is not so bad. Basically just like Rogic he will be back and fresh then when we return to action after the next international break.
He will be a big miss on Thursday though for sure in Hungary where we will likely be put under real pressure defensively. Hopefully we manage it much better then how much we missed Rogic's creativity and passing on Saturday.

He's been improving game by game so it's definitely a blow. Hopefully it's not for too long and he can come back and continue on from where he left off.

Said weeks ago I'd personally have preferred Welsh ahead of him, but he improved in time to the extent that it wouldn't have been fair to drop him.

No he doesn’t. Your opinion on this guy is an embarrassment.
