With Tam likely to miss the next few games, can MJ play that role?

Mirror what someone said above. Looks a lot stronger and hasn't lost that bit of pace and class. Still not fully up to match fitness yet. Very excited to see what Ange can do with him. I've never hid the fact I didn't think he would ever be good enough but after Ralstons resurgence, I'll never question another players potential again. Hope he can stay fit for the next few months. He could be vital.

I like how he has a go. Always going forward, never passing back making the entire defence back track. Still got rust, so as he runs that off and his confidence grows he'll be due a big contract extension soon to keep prying eyes away

Iv never heard anyone say he isn’t going to be good enough , his quality has never been in question for me more so his ability to stay fit.

On tht note if he does stay fit I can see him being one of our most important this season. That’s quite a bit of though

    Always been it..

His talent is there for all to see..

That was his first start last night. Just a glimpse of what's to come when he's motoring..

Was a real threat, still can't believe he wasn't able to roll it to Kyogo to tap in..:56:

His skill and directness is such a weapon tho and as they all get more used to playing with each other, we're going to be even more frightening on attack..

If Rogic is out would like to see Jota or MJ deployed as a 10.

McGregor was also pleased to see the injury-plagued Mikey Johnston make such a strong contribution at Easter Road on his first start since recovering from a hamstring injury picked up in pre-season.

The Celtic skipper thinks there is much more to come from the winger now that he is back to full fitness.

“It was brilliant,” he said. “He’s such a brilliant talent, bags of ability, bags of potential and he’s one as well that the manager’s asking a lot of him physically.

“He’s responding really well and the guys are doing some great work with him in the physio department and sports science to really get him to a level where he can go and make that impact.

“Against Hibs I thought he was sensational.”

Tom Rogic takes care of the football . Mikey could learn a lot from him. He is careless and panics when in the box. Tam takes his time and always looks in control....Mikey needs to calm down and not panic. He rushes in to sloppy passes and looks like he's in about 3 minds.

I've always liked him but I can fully understand why so many dislike/don't rate him.

Has a habit of going past a player or two then playing a dreadful pass straight to a defender, or running into someone. I know he's just back from injury but it's not a new thing. Needs more substance to add to the skill.

Honestly that's it for me in a nutshell when I think of him I think of him beating a man then either giving it away or passing it back where he came from

I thought he was ok and tried to dribble his way through which can result in free kicks in good positions , the rest of the midfield seemed content to pass the buck and pass sideways which gives the opposition to get even more players behind the ball .

We just need to mix it up instead of always persisting with Plan A .

    Lacks any conviction.

A lot of folk also seem to act as if he’s 17. The guy is three years older than Abada.

He suddenly became afraid of defenders. I don't know why.

He was poor when he came on but then Juranovic offered very little in way of overlapping so all Livi had to do was double up on him and he had nowhere to go.
