More I hear about it the more I think I’ll just leave it.

Seen some people praising it in early screenings so probably getting carried away with nostalgia etc.

Now I struggle to find someone actually praising it. Sounds a bit of a mess.

I haven’t, but it’s on my list. I’ll watch it some point over the weekend.

Planning on watching a fair few horrors over the next couple of weeks.

Cinema next Saturday for Halloween Kills.

I’ve seen enough people saying they liked it to say I wouldn’t take my word for it. I would never take someone’s word for anything as we are all different.

I genuinely thought it was horrendous though. I’ve sadly watched the Sopranos about 7 times now start to finish so I would like to think I’m a bit qualified to pass judgment :giggle1:

Musichq. Look it up on google. Make your own mind up. It will be 2 hours you’ll never get back though.

I wish I checked that thread before going tbh. Felt like 10 hours of nothingness then I thought it started picking up after a certain character died on the beach (which imo was a confusing sub-plot on its own) and it turned out to be close to the end anyway. Some people hated The Irishman but at least that was a coherent story with a payoff. Not sure what this was.

Nah man seen enough people who’ve watched the series multiple times feel the films is *.

Honestly, said when I posted the trailer on here it looked like a * wee TV movie from the jump. Not really surprised it’s pish.

The annoying thing is, if that ending was the focal point of the whole movie it could have been epic. A mob beef that ended with that ending would have been tremendous.

Instead we got over an hour of something that went nowhere then shoehorned something in to set up an ending that made no sense whatsoever. There was nothing in the whole movie that justified the ending and nothing in the ending that you can tie to the series.

You also have the very last scene showing someone wandering the streets like king Canute who would have been sleeping with the fishes a long time before that.

if the story had been about a power struggle between Junior and Dickie with Tony in the middle of his two favourite uncles it could have been a classic. I’m still not sure what the black guy had to do with anything. There wasn’t even a beef with Dickie. Dickie was nothing but nice to him. Even that didn’t make sense. I’m actually angry about it if you didn’t already know. Huge Sopranos nerd here. We didn’t even get Tony’s transformation from college kid to mobster. I’m raging haha

The trailer is very misleading. Sadly not in a good way.

It’s a special kind of * when you hope the trailer isn’t a peek into the movie, then it isn’t, yet it’s still *.

I completely get that about the random beef with Dickie. What was that even about? Or even the guy in prison? There was a lot of that going on through the film that made no sense. I liked the riots but more as a kind of look at racism at the time but even that didnt really add much. I did like the ice cream van bit though. I think one of the few moments it kind of fleshed out young Tony's character a bit. I've seen worse films but that really isnt worth a 2nd viewing.

The prison stuff was bizarre. Advice? Leave him alone. Then he just cuts him off completely. Eh?

It absolutely did not need that amount of running time either haha it was like 2 hours or something.

That’s where I disagree. It actually might have benefitted from being 10 hours long, in the form of a mini series.

One of its major flaws was no character depth. I did not care for anyone in the movie as it never told me enough about them to care. Something happened to someone I was like, meh.

The Unthinkable 6/10 Kinda depressing and bit of a weird Swedish film, but was decent enough watch.

Think it’s great along with the last one that was out in 2018

Didn't like that one either to be honest. The only ones I like are actually the first 2, and the Rob Zombie one is alright.

Always give the Halloween films a go because of the original but thought this was dire.

Old - 6/10 Kinda weird, but watchable. Think it's the guy that did Unbreakable, 6th Sense etc.
