Yep..

We need a number 6 who is comfortable taking the ball in tight spaces and can also snuff out danger..

McGregor is really good in there by the way, but he isn't a 6. He is exactly what we're missing in the other two 8's infront of him....a box to box midfielder with pace who can score, create and break beyond..

The midfield needs major work..

 

Domestically he's ideal to play as the number 6. He's so tidy on the ball, always offers himself to the defenders and he's criminally underrated at making interceptions to break up play. That side of his game has massively improved the last couple of years.

But in Europe, we need someone in there with more physicality. Let McGregor attack and press higher up the pitch.

 

These were the type of games we need McCarthy in next to him, Turnbull and Rogic together gives us no pressing or pace for the break.

Should be assessed after the break- let him rest if needed. I know Soro is wacky, but as the 8 position, he should be ok.

 

Think he’s wasted in deep position he use to score goals for fun under Rodgers

 

If we buy a top class DM in January he could take Turnbull's position and Tam can be our CAM.

We've needed a Wanyama type since he left. Even an intelligent sitting midfielder to do the dirty work would elevate us a few levels. Soro isn't that guy, Bitton is squad filler and I don't like the look of McCarthy at all.
