Even the fawning Australians admit Postecoglou has no plan B.

Not sure why people are fantasising about him switching it. He’s said himself he’s not going to.

 

To be honest saying he doesn’t have the right players for the system he is playing isn’t really a defence of his abilities.

Surely a sound definition of bad management is to play a system that won’t work with the players you have?

Leverkusen pegged us out, Betis did, * Livingston and Dundee Utd did - so it's teams at both ends of the quality spectrum, not simply being overran by far superior teams alone.

The bare minimum is we should be hammering Scottish teams. It’s easy to forget that in the bad times but it’s really the basics of the Celtic job.

Despite our attempts to complicate it this seasons is unbelievably straightforward.

Huns are struggling, so just be good enough to beat * SPFL teams = champions league entry and time and money to build.

Instead we’re playing Ralston at CM because just winning against Dundee United at home would be far too simple.

 

This is it for me.

Happy to give him time for Europe and cups, but by now we should be beating * Scottish teams with a fraction of a fraction of our budget.

Needing another 3 months and 5 signings to consistently beat SPFL teams isn’t good enough.

Tomorrow is when it needs to come good and we don’t look back.

I keep reading about this January transfer period that going to fix everything? When have we bought decent in the last few years in January? Too many Shveds, Soro’s, bayo’s etc spring to mind. Do we expect the Japanese market will provide more? How many will be there that realistically will want to come and improve us?

 

Yeah it’s the new, “Huns will collapse after we go to Dubai”.

 

The frustration is there's no head of Recruitment or DoF in place one or both of these need to happen very soon or Jan window will be a shambles.. And Ange if still here will have even less of a chance of success.

 

Doe's Aberdeen and Broonie know of our crap system in advance ? hope not !

 

It’s a complete nonsense. The way we’re going the Huns will have tailed away by January and in any case, the prime talent is rarely available unbothered short, one month window in January. Even those who do come in generally struggle as January is an inopportune time to settle anywhere.
