Turnbull, Rogic, Ralston, Montgomery. All hopeless. It’s * ridiculous how slow Turnbull and Rogic are.

 

It would have helped if the rebuild had started in the first place.

We were 5 players short before the window opened and are still 5 players short now.

 

European football is nothing but a blight on us atm. We simply don't have the manager, players or confidence to avoid repeated humiliation. Tonight's latest embarrassment will further weaken the team and no doubt lead to more points dropped on Sunday. Shame on the board for trying to con us into believing they got the best coach possible, shame on those responsible for recruitment for expecting us to compete with a squad so poor, shame on the manager for his arrogance in thinking we can play so openly against teams and shame on the players( except Hart, Jota and Kyogo) for making the same mistakes over and over and never learning. Sickening to see what we have become.

 

Inverted full backs that struggle to defend and your asking them to occupy the centre of the park.

2 immobile CM in Rogic and Turnbull (who's been utter gash), asking them to play a high press and are MIA most of the half. Both need benched for a bit.

If you don't have the players or the quality of player to play the system then you don't play the system !!!! Play a system to the players strengths you have, it's not rocket science.

Kinda more or less what i'm alluding too tbh, there's far more too it than some folk are making out.. If only it was down too Ange adapting or making a few subs, we're so short its unreal.

 

When we lost the first goal we should have stayed compact and worked our way back into the match. Pushing the full backs up and into the middle was at best naive, at worst negligent and has cost us the match. All confidence gone now and we will be lucky not to lose any more.

Starfelt, who looks permanently confused on the park, could have stepped up and easily played the striker offside but again, lack of communication is at a loss.

 

As I said before the game, Monty and Turnbull starting were a pair of joke decisions by Ange, was * obvious they two would be a disaster

If I could predict that before the game why tf could Ange not see that too? Worrying

Fed up of his mental decisions, Scales (ahead of Monty), Welsh (ahead of Starfelt) and Soro or Bitton (ahead of Turnbull) would have made a world of difference in this game, faith is almost at zero now with Ange given the fact I'm seeing things that he should be seeing but isn't

 

Turnbull and Rogic non-existent in the first half. We need a midfield that stands out and has balls.

Starfelt puts the fear into everyone with his indecision. He should not be trying to dribble players while in defence !
Rather Welsh or Scales there from now on. Starfelt looks exhausted and confused with 30 minutes gone. Why was this guy signed in the first place ? He offers nothing each game he plays !

This playing out from the back with players on your back in the first minutes is madness. The game needs to settle before you even think to do that. They scored within the first 5 minutes - luckily off-side.

Leverkusen are miles ahead of us technically btw. But still, the way we fell apart after they scored is a concern.
