    How?
No pre season (seemingly) from him.
Never played a game during August (while his old club played at least 4 league games).
Joins a club with no sense of modern fitness and coaching.

Basically, unfit player who hadn't done * all in terms of pre season or early season fitness, gets dumped at a club that doesn't know how to manage fitness at all.

Happens far too often at the club, new players tend to always take an injury early on in their career here.

I'm just waiting on Hart to break a finger and Jota to pull a hammy

If Celtic signed him knowing he was an injury waiting to happen then they have a lot of answer for.

Surely there's someone at the club who knows how to build a guys training regime properly until he's fit enough to play (or take part in a fecking warm up) as, if not, it just shows how lacking we are in the sports science department.

He had a shoulder injury over the summer that's why he was behind in his pre-season, there's nothing to suggest he's a sicknote, some people on here are going hysterical over a calf strain like that's his celtic career over before it's even started, absolutely mental stuff.

A calf strain is usually due to previous inactivity when u step up your training. Some players are more prone to this type of niggle. Nothing else to see or report here. Depending on the grade of the strain / tear he will be out for 4 - 6 weeks

If we had 3 strikers capable of playing 30+ games thats the standard required. What am i missing.

3 competetive strikers sharing the workload, whats so funny?

In a wheelchair he'd be more mobile than Ajeti.

I'd try him even if he's done his hammy and he's out for 2 month's after Pittodrie..

At least Kyogo will be back the game after and we won't have to see we stumpy strolling about..

Would defo be worth a shot anyway. Start him and take him off at the hour then he has the international break to recover. We need someone for Jota and Abada to aim for instead of having to constantly go themselves or play low balls.

Giorgos Giakoumakis could be set for his Celtic debut this week after a scan allayed fears over his calf problem.

The Greek striker was denied an introduction off the bench against Raith Rovers last week after suffering an injury while warming up.

But the former VVV-Venlo striker, who was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season, is set to give Ange Postecoglou some much-needed reinforcements up front.

Celtic dropped more points in the cinch Premiership on Sunday when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dundee United at Parkhead with centre-forward Albian Ajeti missing a glorious chance by blazing well over from three yards.

When asked about Giakoumakis, the Celtic manager said: “The scan came back actually more positive than we thought so we’re hoping he’ll get back into training this week, which is good news because he’s missed a fair bit.

“It wasn’t just the injury which we thought might be significant. We thought he might have to go back into rehab.

“But the fact the scan has come back pretty good means he can get back out training again.”

Although Celtic’s Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen will come too soon for the striker on Thursday, Postecoglou is hopeful he could feature at Aberdeen on Sunday.

“He only really missed two days of training and had a session (on Sunday),” Postecoglou added. “Hopefully he’ll be back training with the group early in the week.”

I'll read that as a he won't appear against Aberdeen. I hope to be surprised otherwise (and that he scores and wins us the game please)

We really should be starting him at the weekend if fit. We know what we're getting with Ajeti and it's not good enough.

This bhoy is unknown, time to give him an opportunity to show us what he can do.

Desperate for him to be a success. Can’t handle any more of Ajeti’s Jekyll and Hyde performances.
