    The Hunt (2012)

    * me, that was a hard watch. Surely a mans worst nightmare.

Mads Mikkelson was outstanding (he usually is, but this was next level).

    9/10

Candyman - 6/10 Was alright, some creepy moments, and I like a lot of stuff Jordan Peele is involved with. Much prefer the original though.

Train to Busan - 7/10 Decent zombie movie in genre that's pretty overdone.

We Summon the Darkness - 4/10 Fairly *, but Alexandra Daddario was in it.

Aye it was ok, the main guy Daniel Gillies was good in it. Pretty sinister film!

    Quiet Place 2

Enjoyed the first one, and was looking forward to the sequel as the reviews were so good.

    Pretty disappointing TBH!

For an allegedly ‘intelligent’ horror movie, it sure had some moments of moronic character stupidity that would embarrass the dumbest teen blonde in an 80’s slasher movie.

I was maybe expecting too much.

    Hush

Really interesting premise. Some gory action. Satisfying ending.

    Decent.

Martyr's Lane - 6/10 Very slow burner, bit sad, but thought it was decent enough.

    Saint Maud

Classed as a horror but it's more of a character study of a woman becoming delusional about her belief in * and her purpose. Last 15 minutes are where the horror element properly kicks in. Thought it was going to be one of those pretentious films that critics love but normal moviegoers think is a load of *. Was very pleasantly surprised.

New James Bond film, No Time To Die. I lost interest in Bond films for a few years but I was bored tonight and went to go see this. Best Bond film I’ve seen, really enjoyed it. It has a lot of what you expect from a Bond film but the plot was more than enough to keep me interested throughout. Daniel Craig was excellent.

    No Time To Die.

Was looking forward to seeing a movie on the big screen again, and came away a wee bit disappointed. Not by the movie itself, but by the picture quality. I don’t know if it was an issue with the particular cinema I was at, but there was a lot of blurring and picture judder - particularly during the action scenes (which is most of the movie!). Anyway, I digress…

The movie? A wee bit too long, but otherwise a very solid Bond film. Not a lot new here (apart from the ending!), but I guess that’s the appeal of going to see a 007 movie - familiarity.

I’ll miss Craig’s Bond - best since Connery for me.

    7/10

Oh, and Ana de Armas!!!! Wowaweewaaaaaa!

Just out the cinema after watching The Many Saints of Newark. Other than a few moments and good aesthetics I didn't think it was up to much. Few people walked out of the cinema mid-film.

You seen Don’t Breathe mate? Similar concept but it’s a blind guy’s house that gets broken into.

I’m sorry you paid for that.

I’ve made my feelings known in the Sopranos thread on here. I thought it was an utter directionless mess. It was one confusing movie for 70 minutes then abandoned that story and concocted another story based on laughing at somebody falling down.

An insult to the series. Hated it.
