Granted the service is often pish. I like Tom Boyd as he has some good stories. Granted he gets a bit tongue tied when he's excited but it adds to the atmosphere when he fluffs his lines because of his excitement.

 

I don't mind Tommy Boyd. However Gerry McCullogh can go and take a flying *. Bug eyed * that he is.

 

Guys a waste of a wage so far and I don't see him getting any better

Mad the reaction of some after a game. Embarrassing to be honest.

 

It's not like people want him to fail but when has he ever in his career had a full solid season?

It just doesn't bode well that he hasn't gotten off to a good start.Im sure he'll be great for spells but that's about it

This is his 12th year as an international and he has 43 caps which,sadly,kind of tells the tale of his career

We would have been better signing James Arthur.

 

From about 2007 to 2016, he was a regular in the squads he was a part of.

 

Hopefully he comes good but someone on here argued this was the marquee signing to replace our captain of 10+ years.

Personally think that was a huge risk and instead we should’ve been spending £8m or so on a player in his prime that was playing so well his team would be gutted to lose.

None, considering he hasn't played for clubs who are regulars in Europe or who always go deep into cups. He's had several seasons where he's had a good amount of games though.

 

It’s not really his fitness that concerns me - I’m just genuinely unsure what he’s going to bring to the table for us.

I guess the idea is he frees up McGregor to play a bit further forward, which could work, but I’m not entirely convinced he has the mobility we need from a midfielder.

I haven’t seen enough of him to make an assessment. If someone was the ask what he excels in, I genuinely couldn’t tell you. Looks ok at a number of aspects in midfield but doesn’t appear to stand out at any. What should we be expecting from him once he’s fully up to speed?
