    Definitely like him.

Silly for their equaliser but he made some crucial tackles. Definitely better than Starfelt.

Thought he was brutal for 3 of their goals.

Weird, weird game for him, he looked immense at points and then absolutely pish at others.

Don't think him and Starfelt work as a pairing tbh, would like to see him alongside Welsh and eventually Jullien, have no doubts he'll be a fantastic player for us.

Without Ralston bashing I honestly felt like its was only Vickers and juaranovic doing anything defensively impressive. Vickers wasn't without fault, like trying to play his man offside imo was an error in judgement but I could see what he was trying to do. Starfelt and Ralston were caught with defensive error after defensive error

I agree but I think it was one of they ones where he’s not sure of the defence around him yet as well and it’s leaving him vulnerable that was exploited tonight.

    This. Word for word.

needs a full run of games. Jullien back, he plays next to him and tbh he will thrive next to an actual centre half who has quality.

That doesn't excuse him not doing his own defending.

He was aggressive as * in certain tackles, and completely limp in others.

    Weird.

True, I was thinking more positionally.

Aye I get what you mean, it must be exceptionally hard to know what your position is when your full backs are nowhere to be seen and Starfelt is running rings around himself somewhere.

That being said, Vckers was positionally-poor for at least 2 of the goals.

Been surprised how good he is, obviously made mistakes tonight but to be expected with his lack of games at this level. I think next to Welsh or Jullien he’ll be superb.

I don’t really get how that stops him doing the basics of defending though.

Their equaliser was * level stuff.

Think when you’re second guessing yourself to commit or cover then you get performances like that. A settled back line makes less of those kind of mistakes.

I like him, looks a proper rough and ready bruiser of a centre half.

Missed the game due to work

We conceded four goals and some people are impressed with our defenders?

Could we have been that bad?

The one the both of them went for it and he headers it out for a corner you could tell by what he done he doesn't trust starfelt

I like him. Conceding 4 goals will never look good for CBs but he didn’t do much wrong at all. Think the commentary team blamed him for the second but it was harsh if he just stepped in a inch it wouldn’t have counted. Comms teams seem to blame players and because someone commentating on the game says something a lot of people take it as gospel.

If we actually planned for the future, we'd have him in as a rotational player, marked for the future.

However, we're now pinning our hopes on him coming good and having the defence built around him next season or start all over again on the hunt for a commanding center back.
