He had no chance of those goals no matter how static he was....
If you want to watch a real static goalkeeper then watch Barkas.

Soro a liability. Starfelt no confidence atm. Ralston poor game by his standard this season. Turnbull another quiet game.

Positives from Ajeti, Montgomery, Jota and Rogic. Also don’t have to play Iglesias every week and half our squad missing.

Frustrated to chuck that lead in such fashion. It doesn't surprise you at this point but we really shouldn't be giving away such easy goals...at least make them work.

Sadly that's not a story isolated to this season.

Definite positives there tonight and 6 weeks ago I didn't even think we'd have the opportunity to score 3 goals away against Real Betis. Think we will beat them at home, just need 2 wins out of 4 before that. Hopefully.

But aye, says a lot that I'm disappointed as before kick off I was expecting 4-0.

Think that was one of the best performances I've seen from Rogic. The guy was everywhere and his touch has never been better

Did that cause a goal? Na... Ill grant CCV should have done better on first, but all in all I don't think either had a bad game, Ralston should have done better our right side was wide open all night. To me the turning point was Soro we just invited them on after he got booked, the first or second he bailed from the tackle and the ball slipped through, powder puff stuff.

Quite a few of us are quite disappointed we didnt take something from the game and I see that as a positive, not often we say that in an away day in Spain. We've come a long way in a couple of months or so. If the defence could tighten the screws a bit we could do well in this tourney

Biggest disappointment for me is the space we leave in the full back areas constantly. Letting opposition wide men have all the time in the world to pick out a cross, we're gonna ship some amount of goals playing like that.

Which I could handle if we had quality in depth going forward, but we haven't. We need to hope we get everyone fit and keep them fit for the whole season but that ain't happening either.

Some positives obviously but not enough to make me content the night. Gutted to lose like that after the start we had.

Watching this game I got the feeling the players wee playing with disregards to the result or score, now this can be good or bad depending on how u like your footy.
We looked assured moving the all around and very confident, there was no evidence of fear or forcing play, got to admit I liked it and I'm more for a strong defense, maybe they will learn more playing with freedom, it was quite refreshing to see, however taking 2nd prizes will tire players and lose belief in this system.
This game was similar to az in how we started and surprised betis, we had more energy and looked fitter, if we can get our strongest on the field we will do well, my only gripe is slow reactions to runners around our 18 yrd line, still feel we Welsh woulda done better out there today, big credit to monty though, well done lad.

Get the defence sorted (if it's possible) and we should have a chance to win in Europe

Fair point and one that we should be glad because looking at Starfelt, I don't think he can be our hero baby.

Agreed. To be disappointed at losing narrowly in a 7 goal thriller in Spain shows how far we’ve come in such a short space of time under Ange.

To do it with almost a full team missing is just crazy.

3rd goal both center Half's standing watching as the striker get between them.

4th goal both center Half's going for the same ball giving away an unnecessary corner....that's where those goals came from.... although I agree Soro didn't cover himself very well for two of the Goals.

You just ignoring that they were at fault for the first aye? Fact is any side that concedes 4 in a game, questions will be asked of their centre halves. Agreed on the Soro point, I’m just surprised he didn’t get sent off at some point as he was all over the place.

Ange really wlly needs to spend big in getting a couple good coaches in, at least one defence minded.
