This is not the thread for it but I’m convinced there is more to be made in the prevention than the cure.

@Lennon1888 So sorry for the loss of your mum

Reading tonight that Sarah herself ignored a lump thinking it was a cyst, so sad for someone so young

    RIP :shamrock:

    I'm really saddened by this.

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer last year in October, it was only 1 or 2 months after I read that Sarah Harding had breast cancer.
It was so strange that one moment I was feeling sorry for this woman and her family and the next moment it was our own family that was living it.

We have 2 kids aged 6 and 10 at the time my wife was diagnosed and of course your mind goes straight to them.

The last year has been, well there have been some very dark days!
My wife had 8 Chemo treatments, a breast saving operation and then 23 radiation treatments.

We are actually going this week for a mammograph, the first after all the treatment....

It really is a * awful disease!
My wife doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, she went running 3 or 4 times a week, this disease doesn't care!

    RIP Sarah

    Aye it's brutal man..

    39 is a scary age..

@Sin I hope your missus beats it. That is a lot to go through in a short space of time..

My missus' brother is only 37 and only weeks ago the biopsy results came back telling her the worst..

    R.I.P.

I remember reading either late last year or earlier this year that she had terminal cancer. I can’t even imagine how difficult that sort of diagnosis must be at any point in your life, but it must be especially hard when you’re still relatively young. It’s genuinely upsetting to see someone effectively robbed of decades of life. It’s an absolutely terrible and terrifying illness.

Wishing all the best to everyone currently dealing with similar issues.

My mum had a mastectomy about 12 years ago at 60 , and all the treatments your wife had , she didn’t smoke , drink either . She is doing fine now and is healthy . I really hope you and your wife have the same outcome

Felt like tearing up reading this.

I wish you and your family all the best mate. Your wife sounds like a warrior with that list of * she’s been through over such a short period of time.
