Away from football always liked merson with regard his honesty in terms of addiction etc but seeing his complete disregard and hatred of Boyd he's gone onto another level

Not without squad depth they didn't.

They lost two of their POTY candidates from last season and their YPOTY on Sunday to Covid and they still had players to fill in with a strong starting XI. One of whom dealt very competently with our best player.

If we lost any two first team players to Covid, even if they aren't our better players, we'd be *. Such is the lack of depth.

We are nowhere near them. Not because they are world beaters but because those who run our club are content to settle for second best.

It's still thr spine of the side that's a concern..

We needed to add CB, DM and another ST..

Need our new striker to hit the ground running or some emphasis on Kyogo to carry the goal threat..

And if McGregor were to be injured we're done..

The height thing for a CB argument loses weight when you factor in Ajer was * at headers.

It's not just the height tahts costing us at set pieces, there's far more to our problems with those than that

    Disgraceful.

We're relying on Rogic and Turnbull to be fit and firing every week. McCarthy as well.

And the fact that those * somehow are managing to not sell a single player of note, and haven’t done for years. The figures just don’t stack up. It simply cannot be sustainable.

To make things worse we also loaned out Robertson to Crewe for the season, who is the 1 academy player that could possibly fill in for us from time-to-time.

Hopefully there's a recall option if things go Pete Tong.

Mad when you consider where Rogic was last season.

Just insanity to be running with that midfield in a system which will ask the most of our players than any previous celtic manager.

Not necessarily in one off games, but over the course of a season it's squad depth that wins you league titles and we're miles off.

To be fair, he’s not wrong. If we put both our first choice 11 out, I genuinely think we have the better team and players man for man. But when you take players out and start plastering over positions, they clearly have the stronger squad and by some way.

Add Liam Shaw in to that, but I genuinely I have no idea where Ange sees him. Thought he was decent pre-season as well.

Short changed once again folks. Don't know why we continually think the board are actually going to spend real money, as apposed to spending what we bring in on sales. Every window is the same. Everyone knew we wer short at the back yet the board are oblivious to it. Shocking.

And if McGregor gets injured we are *. I'm stunned he hasn't had time out when you think about how much football he has played in the last 4 years.

I’m still confident we will win the league. We’ve got decent depth. We were one or two signings off a quality window. You’re just disappointed like all of us right now. CCV get * signed.

To be fair, he has been coming off in games a lot more.

Our board can be miserly as *, but if we’re really not willing to pay £1.2 million (which is less than the club record fee they supposedly wanted) for McCann, then we’re hitting an all new low. We should literally be handing the Christie money straight over to St Johnstone.

It’s a bad day when I’m hoping it’s a case of the player not wanting to join us, rather than our board * up once again.

CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS DEAL GOING TO THE WIRE?

Tottenham and Celtic attempting to agree a loan move for Cameron Carter-Vickers ahead of Scotland deadline at midnight.

Celtic approached Spurs last month about a potential deal for Carter-Vickers but were knocked back.

The Hoops then made another enquiry today about a potential loan deal, but Spurs told them they were only looking to sell the player.

Spurs have been unable to find a permanent transfer for the centre-back and approached Celtic just over an hour ago to let them know that Carter-Vickers was available on loan.

There is a willingness now from all parties to get the deal done before the Scottish deadline.
