    We used masking tape and a rope between two downpipes haha. Raquets were used as weapons more than a few times am sure :giggle1:

    Does anyone mind playing football in the school gym with those long wooden benches and the rubber bits on each end were the posts, so satisfying that badunk sound the ball made when you scored.

    Hated them benches. All about the proper 5 a side nets

    I remember each year in primary school had a different "pitch" to play on at break and lunch. Couldn't wait until p6 when we could play on the pitch with proper goalposts, instead of jumpers or trees as goalposts

    haha aye we even used to manage games of football in the long shed, about 2m wide only, that was P4 designated football area used to fly crosses in from outside the shed off the wall into the goal.

    Used to be a laugh playing when the ball got a bubble would bounce around like mad. Don’t sit on the ball you will make it eggy.

    Does any * remember marbles? Have a feeling those born after the 70s might not remember this game. You had an assortment of marbles of all different colours and sizes and you rolled one of yours doon the street as far as * away as possible and the other person had to hit your marble with their marble, and you had to try and hit theirs with yours. First one to hit the marble won, whereupon they took your marble and added it to their collection of marbles (usually contained in a wee bag that they would walk about with all day and night, even at school). You always got the smart arses who used a big giant * ‘steelie’ to hit your marble with! :giggle1::giggle1:

    Five stones.
    * a light
    Chappy

    My favourite though was code.

    Two teams of at least 5. One team had a code. Each person had one letter of the code. The other team had to catch that team and beat the * out of each player until they gave up their letter. Once they had all the letters they had to arrange the letters to make the code.

    Good times :giggle1:

    We used to steal name plates off doors and swap them. Also light bulbs out of closes.

    We also tied a granny up and set fire to her feet.

    Just joking. We never stole bulbs.
