And since the likelihood of any of the things that you mention is less than zero of happening, we should be fine.

If you look at it by our business this summer before today then we have spent less than a million.

Our outlay has cost us 17.8 million and player sales this summer is 16.92 million.

The club have got rid of several high earners as well and over all we have a thread bare squad.

Now if Eddy and Christie goes today, Eddy for a reported 15-20 million and Christie 1 million we are only spending max 2/3 million today on the Greek lad and the loan from Benfica.

I don’t see us competing in all fronts with this squad this season if we only bring in two more this window.

People are saying wait till January but it will be too late by then.

Gotta disagree here. If we're going to go off on a project, we may as well do it right. In that case we should be looking to have a single, obvious, top notch player for each position and one of our own youths as the development player behind them. We should then only have a few good utility players who can fill in gaps around crucial areas to provide cover. The 1st choice and the development player would ideally compete for the position, thus providing continuous progression from underage and maximize our transfer ins to low quantity, high quality and a perpetual revenue stream from the youths... Very simplistic, I know, but just having floods of average players that we buy in, rather than develop, is a continuous drain on resources and block to youth development, meaning we lose most of those for * all/very little

We still need to get rid of bolingoli. It's shocking he's still at the club.

If eddy and Christie both go there's no way we only bring in 2, unless Ange intends to promote the young lads to continuous first team

I'm still optimistic that we will pull it out of the bag today and bring in 3-4 players. Encouraged that quite a lot of the deadwood has gone or is on the way out and with the carrot of champs league money as well as the transfer fee of Eddy there really can't be any excuses in not backing the manager. Over to you Dom McKay, let's see what you're made of.

Get what your saying but were not at that stage yet and I wasn't suggesting getting in average players as squad fillers but more as competition for 1st team and forward planning ie mccann in to push mcgregor or a proper left back in to replace taylor who clearly doesn't suit the new style

If we could just bring in a first choice left back today and ship off Boli, Ajeti or Barkas it would be a really good 1st window under Ange/DOM.

Unfortunately, it aint gonna happen. And its going to be absolutely criminal to send us in to a title challenge + EL with Taylor as first choice. And Scales (who's really a CB, now playing his 1st season as a LB) as 2nd choice.

The failure to sign a natural LB completely undermines all the good work and its so frustrating.

It's a tough ask to rebuild in one window, there's so many players that need moved on and we still look weak at CB and DM(if the additions quoted happen)

Think we really need a Doucoure type CM, DM as well as strength and experience at CB.

Also if we lose 2 x ST, in Griffiths and Edouard we defo need 2..

Would take both Nisbet and McCann, can't see either of them happening tho..

12 hrs to get maybe 4 players in, not likely..

We're ridiculously light, in so many departments as well..

1 decent keeper - just about do for now

    2 right back's - fine

Centre half - currently 2 that arguably aren't even of the quality we need, 1 makeshift centre half and our best 1 is month's away

Left back - none are good enough for the long haul

Centre mid - our lack of pace and depth there will catch up with us if 1 or 2 don't come in, no doubt about it

    2 right wing - fine

1 left wing - Mikey needs to get fit and that maybe OK til January as I have a feeling Jota will light it up

Striker - Kyogo and the Greek. We need another as Kyogo will burn out at his tempo, no to mention he's already halfway through a j league season

There's a lack of physicality and steel in this side. Also requires some more energy in midfield and defence..

Nowhere near enough as it stands with Edouard, Christie, Griffiths, Boli, Ajeti and Barkas likely to go....although I'd be delighted with the latter 4 all going tonight (we'd still need quality depth in)..
