Actually thought he was fine yesterday.

He did give a few silly fouls away with them * diving whenever someone made any sort of contact but on the whole he didn’t do much wrong.

Maybe he could do better at the goal but when I seen it back yesterday I didn’t think he was majorly at fault. It was a good delivery and that big diddy timed his run well.

Still needs to improve a lot from what we’ve seen so far though.

Go back and watch the goal.

Then come back and talk to me about who it was that jumped for the ball...

That people are making him a whipping boy by lumping him in with those that actually were *. Did you misread something, I’m genuinely lost?

That wasn’t what caused the goal though was it? Him being left alone against 2 bigger CB’s is the problem. How long have we all moaned about our defending of set pieces? This isn’t on Starfelt no matter his faults on Sunday.

Was it the two players he was sandwiched between that made him jump about 6 inches short of the ball? Nah, you're fairly blinkered here pal...

Outwith the goal argument I thought he grew into the game, he actually looked like the defender we wanted.

He's in the Swedish squad for the upcoming international break. I would be very surprised if he gets much gametime, but it would be interesting to see how he would cope. He hasn't got many caps (3) so far, and he's 26.

For me, it's a case of him not having one proper strength. Not the quickest, not dominant in the air, his passing could be more precise.

Jullien needs to come back double quick. The current CB pairing isn't good enough, it's clear as day.

So you’ve admitted he was marking extra men in his area, it’s a start I guess.

Actually, naw I said nothing of the sort.

If - again - you actually go watch it, he was zonal marking.

Still though, you've still to explain what that has to do with the ball he misjudged?

He was stitched up by their attackers. They'd barge him, but then collapse when he touched them.

How often did Morelos, Roofe and Kent stop runs, or break their stride to get one of our players to make contact?

    It's a * way to play football.

You do know how zonal marking works don’t you?

Although he was better yesterday, he was still very uncomfortable on the ball.

He doesn't look like someone that suits our system of playing out from the back if he sorts out his defensive ability.

One guy zonal marking? That’s a new one.

I watched the goal about 40 times while debating it yesterday. He’s on Goldson. Helander comes in as the extra man behind him, he doesn’t even see him.

It isn’t even that much of a debate.

Exactly mate, if anything it’s the systems fault not the guy left in a full zone with multiple opponents.

3 of them start off standing off 3 hun players, as soon as the ball leaves barisic's foot they all move into their zones, hence why Welsh runs away into the area of the penalty box.

Regardless though, the ball comes in right on top of Starfelt, he jumps very gingerly, Helander makes a better effort of getting the header in and wins it.

It's there on video for all to see...
