Is he allowed to play for the B team to get fitness?

 

Didn't travel with the squad maybe doing extra training to get his fitness up .

 

Hope it's just that, and not a 'knock'.

 

Think in the challenge cup they are mate as a noticed katic was in the Huns b team line up v Dumbarton but as far as lowland league games go unlike the old reserve team football don’t think first team players are allowed to play

 

Think there is age restrictions.

 

Don't know, but pretty sure that it used to be the case that every youth/colt team was allowed 3 or 4 overage players, to operate as mentors and supply guidance/support for the other players developments.

That was a sensible approach, making perfect sense for the youth and for spare/returning 1st team players; so probably means it was the first thing dropped by our idiot organisers...

 

Are the B and Colts two names for the same team or do we have two extra teams?

 

Both are the same. We've called them Colts for years but they're registered for the Lowland League as Celtic B I believe.

As a club we’ve called them colts but they’re register as Celtic B in the league.

 

Hoping this guy can get up to speed soon as we are goanny need him big time in the Europe groups. Praying he can get fit and stay fit.

 

Today was the exact kind of game we need him for, hopefully get him fully fit and playing over next few months.

He would have been invaluable today, he would have settled that midfield and helped out at the back. One of a few tactical mistakes today imo.

Granted he may not be match fit yet.

 

Is there any indication on how close he is to belong fit?

In games like today I think he'll be a major asset, I hope he's fit soon.

 

It is vitally important that we can get a fit James McCarthy in to our first 11. He needs to be playing when fit

 

We bought him pretty much for games like today, disappointing he wasn’t fit enough for even the bench, hopefully we can bring him in for a run of games soon enough. We need as many midfield options as possible.

He is isolating after being a close contact it doesn’t finish to the mawra ffs

 

Am gonna be isolating after today. What a shiter of a day.

 

I didn't think he was up to the fitness level before he picked up a knock so it might take him a while to get his match fitness up to the standard needed for the pressing game we play.
