Could Ange pick someone from Colts to play St Mirren? And what would be the deal, is it something that he then would not be able to turn out for the Colts for the next 5 games? Anyone know what the rules are?

 

I think it’s that he can choose anyone from the colts team to play for the first time but if a player has played 5 games for the first team then they can’t be selected for the colts team again

Best way from to prepare for first team action is by playing the same tactics, this could be really productive for us in later years.

 

I don’t know why all of our youth sides are not playing the way the first team play.

there is dangers mate

if bigger clubs are allowed b and c teams in lower leagues the obvious is they could take limited promotion places away from real clubs

then there is a genuine reality that players will want to play for the colt teams as they will get a better pay packet and better training facilities

players will want to play for the bigger teams with better players

this could/would mean that the financial might of us and them could snag more of the up and coming players and deprive the small clubs of transfer fees and progressing through the leagues

we could ofcourse put proposals to the lower division clubs that would prevent us doing some of these things, i.e. regulate against us and the huns as we are the giants in the game and everything must be done to make sure we dont profit at the expense of the smaller clubs

what our leading national football body needs to do have a long term blueprint of how our game is to be going forward

all these wee village clubs are a hindrance to a professional setup 4 teams in a small area should turned into one proffesional team maybe regional as in scotland only a proffesional regional team would be able to realistically compete with the big city teams but there would need to be strict rules to allow this setup the best chance of success

also you cant make all small teams accept this so carrot and stick reward system some want to stay as they are then fine they dont get subsidized anymore by sfa, councils or government

ive not got it all written down but whats been happening for years is a constant drift and no control over it to the betterment of the whole of scottish football, whats been allowed to happen because of the closed shop we have had up until recently is that small clubs owners have got together and spiked the future good of the game for short termism gain for their own survival of slowly dying football clubs and is sucking the life out of game here for years
