Karlsson, Sugawara and Martins-indi were absolutely class and just as good as Koopmeiers.

Maybe better is a stretch, but AZ arent far off Betis at all, not the nightmare draw people are saying, we can finish second here 100%

Some mental takes in here regarding Betis. Based off what? Their first couple games of the season? Very good team. They were a baw hair off finishing 5th in La Liga ffs.

I disagree, they have Guadrado who played 150 odd games for mexico, Bravo is still Chileans keeper, Carvalho plays for Portugal, fekir for France, Miranda will be Spains next lb tallent. They do have some quality.

Tough group but some decent games to look forward to and no long trips away t worry about. Let’s see what happens with transfers over the next few days but no reason we can’t get through (especially if we cut out the stupid mistakes at the back).

All these games are hard, Ferencvaros won't exactly be whipping boys either. Third place realistic here. Might be challenging to overturn Betis for second place.

I think 3rd is the bare minimum we should be looking at in this group so we have European football post Christmas. Potentially try and compete for 2nd.

We need to look to get 4 points off the Huns and get a victory at home against one of the other two sides and i think that would give us 3rd comfortably.

Mate I’d back us to finish second in a group with Man City and PSG :giggle1:

On paper this is a tough group though. Can’t remember the last time we got a decent group draw. Going to be some very tough tests but hopefully we come out the other end.

I'm not saying they don't have some very good players. Just don't think they'll be a far better team than us. Carvalho is off to Norwich apparently. Guardado has had a great career but he's 35 next month so would imagine he's not quite the same as he was.

If we sort our defence out, I'd be confident of our chances against them at Celtic Park.

Buzzing with the draw. Hoping to get to one or two of the away trips. Been to Budapest twice before, but haven't been to Leverkusen or Seville before, so ideally those. Tough group but exciting matches to look forward to.

Got to back ourselves against Betis. If we get a few more required signings in the door we have a good chance

Betis have a lot of decent names in there team but they are ageing , think our fast football could be too much for them

Martins-Indi is not class and AZ are not better than Betis.

It’s a step up and it’ll be a completely different game. Fekir is a player that can win a game himself, AZ didn’t have that X Factor.

If we play a striker against Ferencvaros, we'll win both games. Ange ball is better than Lennon ball for sure.

Full points at home against Leverkusen and Betis are achievable. We're in with a shout. We want to be associated with good teams, so let's beat them and get ourselves back where we should be.

    Does Frimpong start for Leverkusen?

He’s genuinely pish - we should have Eddy and Kyogo targeting him from the left

    * knows how we got so much money for him

Not an easy draw but if we get the necessary signings in then I think we could do well. Obviously the Germans will be favourites to win the group but, as I said, if we do get the new guys in, then who knows what will happen.

Based aff previous seasons it’ll be something close to
    Betis (H)
    Leverkusen (A)
    Ferencvaros (A)
