That's the issue. With our full backs narrow and high up the pitch so often, the space they leave is mad. Really need pace in the centre of defence to compensate for it.

I can see big Jules and Hart getting on well when he gets back in the side. Both are very vocal.

Totally agree about the Erik similarities, one of the first things I thought too!

Good at heading but that’s about it so far. Still not writing him off, early yet.

My point being, Hendry is a * abomination and Welsh has been reliable.

National caps mean nothing at certain junctures of certain players careers.

Starfelt has mistakes he needs to stop making but overall he looks a rugged defender who has good defensive attributes.

Said it last week and will say it again, I'd have him straight out of the team and Jullien alongside Welsh when he's fit.

Thought he was meant to be a ball playing centre back? Tyler Blackett looked more comfortable with the ball at his feet than this *. Countless times passing 10 yards behind Welsh as well under little pressure which then invited AZ to press right up. Needs a lot of work to improve, Jullien walks straight back in this team for me.

Did we get this player from the same recruitment as barkas one can't defend and the other can't catch the * ball and nine million down the drain with these two signings .

Thought he did well in the 2nd half after an atrocious 1st. Shows good mental strength to do that, still though, ffs with that goal

An underrated thing about Jullien was his passing from the back, although you wouldn't say he was like Ajer or Van Dijk technically he did have a good range of passing also weirdly with both feet. Julliens left foot could ping diagonals better than Starfelt can make 20 yard pass with his right lol

2nd half put out a very assured performance, just looks like a very slow starter and gets caught up in the occasion

We've needed another CB since he signed. *, he could be playing like prime Maldini and we'd still need another CB.

I do think we'll actually bring one in now, and I'd be happy enough with a loan in that area, just need to get it done sharpish.

Showed good character 2nd half after his mistake, hopefully he can take confidence from that 2nd half display.

He's a decent player, with a tendency to make mistakes in him... He was NEVER gonna be the Messiah people were hoping for, but even with only a few weeks down he looks like one of our weaker links. Hopefully as we settle and strengthen he'll come onto a better game, and speed/toughen up.

Not the disaster that some people are making him out to be though. He should do a grand job in Scotland, hopefully

I think his biggest problem is he has no left foot or no confidence in it, his mistakes have come from when trying to get onto his right or use his left foot, this can be worked on with a bit of training.

Not a convincing performance over all. Why didn't he just leave the ball to go out? Better second half than first.

Stick on for a red on Sunday. He needs to calm down. Was he signed as a ball playing centre half? He's showing none of it. Seems like a back to the wall player similar to Duffy. He doesn't seem to fit the style. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's just finding his feet.
