Bang on mate! No leadership, Had my doubts about Hart from the start good shot stopper yes but so was my Da, too many times he just had to hold it for a moment instead of putting guys under pressure with quick throws.

Great achievement so early on. Would never have expected it a month ago. Need some defenders in pronto. For as good as we are going forward, we can be equally as poor at the back. But to the defences credit tonight, they stuck in and didn't shirk their responsibilities and grew in to it. Job done and can look forward to some decent games ahead.

I am raging our defensive inadequacies that a blind man can see has been left to fester yet again and only sheer luck gets us through. Do you think that was in any way a good performance?

Yeah because imagine the board then. Sell Kyogo would be their first thought.

We were fairly shocking but we somehow scraped through. Edoaurd saved us tbh. Fair play to Montgomery toughest conditions ever to be thrown in too and he didn’t do half bad definitely potential in him

    Just can't get enough
Aye sure is he need backed a bit more, strength in depth is a concern especially with the Scottish refs giving free range

I don’t think we were shocking overall. 2 big individual errors made it not look good. We got the much needed goal and defended well bar a OG. Can’t ask for much more in Europe away against a good side who were chasing the game. Cut out some of these individual errors and we shouldn’t be far away. I’ve noticed we see much, much better at defending crosses and corners now, last season we seemed to concede 1 at least every game.

Delighted to get through but really hope we learn lessons from that tonight.

Hart playing out from the back too quickly when under pressure. Starfelt and Welsh passing between themselves too often inviting pressure.

Midfield needs more steel and legs for those sort of games.

Need to make the most of the window before it shuts.

Tonight AZ played it over the top to to the wide players with the midfield flooding in to support along with their ful backs our wide guys came inside too far allowing their full backs the space to run into we had a midfield that couldn't get into the game for long periods. We need to develop a better strategy for away games when teams are playing us the way AZ did

Game was a hard watch, we stunned them when we scoreeand we looked good.
Daft mistakes allowed the heads to dip a bit and the dutch picked up belief.
What i enjoyed the most, was the way we eventually won the game.
Sometimes you got to dig in, break up the play and slow it right down. Around 65 minutes, Az blew there load and we took control and managed the game out well and won dirty.
It showed character and a another bow in our armoury.

A lot of negative comments in here after the game. Yes we rode our luck but we are into the group stages ffs. We were up against the best team we have played this season, a team at home who were desperate to qualify, they gave it all. This was a team that finished 3rd in the Dutch league last season, no team in our domestic league come any where close to them. They counter pressed us giving us no time on the ball for most of the game, it was their game plan that subdued us not our midfield players suddenly becoming *. We are still a work in progress, from where we were when the CL qualifiers came around and how we were against Hearts, i will take tonights result anytime. Enjoy the moment, bring on the Hun game, that will be the gauge to where we are.

The fact of the matter is only just over 3 weeks ago we were deservedly put out the champions league by a very average mityjlland side, and then lost to a Halliday hearts team in the space of 3 weeks we’ve destroyed teams domestically 6-0 twice, beat the same heart’s team 3-2 going on 12-2, and put out a Dutch team who were twice as good as mityjlland, if anyone had told me 3 weeks ago how we would have progressed I would have laughed at them, but we are still very much a team in progress and transition and will only get better, guardiola couldn’t have turned this Celtic team around so well in 3 weeks

there will be bumps along the way but I’m here for the roller coaster
