    It isn't a personal attack. Saying edouard has been brilliant for us overall isn't an opinion, it's objectively true.

    He had one * season where he still managed 22 goals, outwith that he has been a great player.

    Tbf dont give a * about losing the Eddy money as PSG get their whack and we would end up less than what we paid for him so its in our best interests get him playing well all season and secure the title and the champions league group place and money rather than finishing 2nd

    I was talking in general, that some on here take criticism of Eddy personally. I wasn't aiming it specifically at either of you.

    If we want to just pretend a full season and the start of this one never happened, then, yes, overall he has done objectively well. "Brilliant/fantastic" is a push, but I'll give you that.

    I think if Eddy was uninterested as some on here suggest he'd be nowhere near the side (see Griffiths), or getting a few minutes here and there off the bench (see Ajeti).

    Knowing what Ange is all about he must be showing something in training. I mean he continues to get good minutes on the pitch.

    In terms of money, I'd happily let him go for nothing next summer if I knew he'd play his best this season and fire us to automatic CL qualification by winning the title.

    That's my main issue with him.

    Honestly think people underestimate how the events of last season will have affected him. Other players seem to have got a pass but with him it's still that he should have done more.

    Could he have? Most definitely. But honestly when you look at the side he was in with the amount of players out of form, no fans, no intensity in games, a team with a narcissistic * as manager, covid at the start of the season and probably being denied a move I'm amazed he still managed 22 goals.

    There's only so much one player can do. His effort wasn't there at all times last season but again like many things its not black and white.

    If he leaves before next week I'll wish him the very best. If he stays I believe we will see a different player.

    You really need to pack this talking sense out....it's not smart or clever.

    Seriously though, if he stays and is happy which I have seen with his smiling recently, we win the league.....which is all that matters and the cash from doing so mitigates the no fee.
