Griffiths current contract won’t be anywhere close to what he was earning last season. He may still have to take a pay cut, but it won’t be near as drastic as before.

Hopefully he has some hunger left in him and wants to play football, which he won’t here.

Give them Griffiths and 2 million, that’s more than reasonable.

I do question that myself but given some of the players we have at the club a deal could probably be reached. Griffiths is meant to be on reduced terms with us so we could even offer to cover some of his wages for the rest of the season to make it a very low risk thing for Hibs. Alternatively guys like Henderson could be offered permanently and maybe a loan of an OConnor, Connell, Robertson, Shaw or another if there is any interest from them.

Nisbet has got something about him, he’s scored a few against them and us which is always a good sign. I was disappointed in his cup final performance last year but he wasn’t alone for Hibs. The fact he already knows a lot of the guys from the Scotland set up and seems friendly as well as being a big fan shows he wouldn’t have any issue settling. He probably would also be willing to play rotationally if we do sign him and another left winger which will be a factor for us trying to attract a striker given we have Kyogo and play one striker.

For a reasonable fee (plus player and/or loan) I would be for it. I just wouldn’t want us spending all our budget and then not being able to fill other positions.

If they Ajeti? Is that a new dance move?

But aye I would be happy if that * was moved in as well but Hibs don’t have the wages that would suit him.

It’s either an English team or he will end up back at Basel

I think Edouard, Griffiths and Ajeti will all be gone or their future decided either way by the end of January so could easily see Nisbet, Giakoumakis and one other coming in.

    Or even 2 coming in.

Interesting that Peter Martin has said that not long after I had mentioned about Yogi Hughes and Si Ferry saying it on open goal.

Would take Nisbet and McCann from St Johnstone.Probably the 2 players out with Celtic with the most potential.

Yogi Hughes said on Wednesday that he'd heard the night before about Nisbet to Celtic. And Si Ferry said he had heard earlier in the week.

To me its quite interesting that its doing the rounds in between ex pros and pundits.

I know Hughes lives just outside of Edinburgh still next door to John Collins so I'd take his word for it.

    That is definitely interesting.

If there was two guys who would have a rough idea, it would be Hughes and Ferry. Between the two of them, they connections with Celtic and Hibs.

What's he actually like week to week ? Not see enough of him to pass judgement. Is he hard working ? Fast ? Strong ? Good in the air ?

    Pretty pacey
Can link the play/run the channel's/play on the shoulder
Ok in the air but he has better attributes, his link up play is underrated
    Scores goals domestically

    He'd be good here..

Ange no confirming or denying probably means it'll happen..

Being honest, I would take him before the Greek guy. His yt highlights looked pretty bleak, even if he did score a fair amount of goals.

On rumours linking Celtic with Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet: "I'm not quashing, denying or confirming. There's work we are doing off the field and hopefully we can make some announcements in the next few days."
