I know it's still early doors in his Celtic career, but I haven't seen anything to justify a £4.5M outlay for this guy.

He lets the ball bounce...you get taught in secondary school that you never let that happen! :giggle1:

He definitely looks slower than I expected..

I don’t believe we paid 4.5 for this guy either..

He's been playing in a much slower league in Russia, that's giving me some comfort that he's still adjusting to the pace of the game and our style..

I thought he was vastly improved in the second half to be fair to him, but he really needs to be doing better.

Some shaky moments but definitely grew into the game.

Still very early days and think we need to be patient.

Overall I’m confident that he will come good.

He can make one or two solid interceptions but for the most part he looks way off it so far, hopefully he snaps out of it and quick

Makes a few good blocks and interceptions but they've probably came from his mistakes in the first place. Still think he can be decent and he helped play his part in a nice clean sheet for us tonight.
Think he's one of those where he will be fine if everything is going fine but the moment things are a bit ropey his nerves and mistakes might feed off each other and I don't think we can afford to need to be 3 goals up every single game to allow for his potential brain farts.

He never seems switched on. Almost like he's suprised when the ball gets passed to him.

Improved a bit tonight. I'd still play Murray ahead of him in the easier SPL games as think we need options here.

He doesn’t look comfortable on the ball at all, takes 2 or 3 touches before getting his head up, hopefully he keeps improving but Jullien will be straight in for him when fit.

He needs to be much better in the air. I don’t think he was that bad tonight overall but he had a few very poor moments.

it was obvious who the 4.5m center back was and it wasnt starfelt it was welsh

i think his jittery performances are coming about because of the way anges telling the team to play in addition to playing with 2 inexperienced players in ralston and welsh and one * player in taylor

he probably wouldnt have thought hed be playing first team football at a high level with 2 inexperienced academy players at the back its got to have put a fair bit of pressure on him but its helping to bring on ralston and welsh at the same time with this trial by fire

Really want him to succeed and have been giving him the benefit of the doubt, but some of the * he’s been pulling recently isn’t down to rustiness or not being fully integrated, just the fundamentals of being a defender.

Quite worrying it’s got to be said. He does some things well but he’s had a few too many shockers for me. Not necessarily shocking games, just plenty of errors that can lead to goals.

Welsh made equally as bad mistakes which were glossed over, there seems to be a bit of a witch hunt here, he looked more comfortable on the right side though.

I might be getting mixed up with CalMac, but at one point someone played a short back pass right onto an AZ player through on goal.

Had the full back situation been sorted, I think it would have helped him bed in quicker. He looks uncertain at times, which is always a worry. On top of that, the system Ange wants to use relies heavily on the centre halves doing their bit. Second half yesterday was better tbf, hope he can take positives from that.

If Morelos is still around on August 29, he´ll have his work cut out. Make or break time.

He needs to get a lot of work done on his game in the next week and more. Never looks switched on and seems to be lacking a bit of fitness already it seems.

Anyone considered he's uneasy because he's never played in front of such loud and large crowds?

He's probably never experienced this as a player and others are slower to adapt then others....

I think this comment nails it, never crossed my mind until now and it seems that’s it. Needs to give Lustig a call he’ll put him straight
