    I would have liked to think so too but by the sounds of all these rumours we are scraping about at the moment unless we sell Edouard.

    The right back Juranovic is somewhere between £2-3m, Scales £0.5m, Greek Striker £2.5m. Its all gone quiet on Lovric and Henry looks like he’s off elsewhere so even the slightly higher £4m fees don’t seem to be happening without a sale.

    Knowing our Board, Scales will be the modern day Mulgrew who just covers where we have a gap between CB and LB. I hope I am wrong but the fact we haven’t signed someone in two weeks despite our manager pleading for reinforcements says otherwise.

    I'll be annoyed if Liam Scales is our only other CB being brought in.

    That leaves us real short still back there IMO. This guy looked perfect....4m euros ffs and Schalke! Theyre a mess atm.

    Nah apparently his main position is CB..I can just see us signing him and claiming its the CB.

    He could be unreal for all I know but even still I think we need another, in the mould of Itakura or Davies. I really thought we'd get this guy, gutted.

    Sometimes they do this in the modern game where clubs loan them for their last season of their contract and the club has a fixed fee to pay at the end of it. Suppose it's a good way of bending your cash flow for a season.

    That doesn't make sense, there would literally be no one to buy him from at the end of the loan as he isn't contracted to anyone. And if they just wanted to delay payment they could just agree a 4m euro loan deal and say it has to be paid at the end of the loan, or in installments.
