Looks to me as someone that would be good value at that price, but I'd want a higher level of target to him if it was to be a main man, if he is the Eddie replacement its not enough, replacing bayo/klimala yes, or replacing one of Ajeti or Griff, yes.

Be Great having an an aerial threat and he’s good at pens ( won’t be needing that skill at Celtic with all the Lanarkshire masons in black), can’t believe he’s so cheap

Ajeti is a complete waste of space, Griffiths is a very good striker but he's more hassle than he's worth. This guy would be a good replacement for either of those two. I'd be looking for a higher quality of striker to replace Edouard.

If they've been good for a number of seasons we'd be priced out of them. Unless it's been in lower leagues but then questions are asked of why we're going for lower level players

It's really hard to judge guys like this just looking at their stats, his scoring record outside of last season is worse than some of our defensive players, has he had one jammy season or do we take a punt that he's a late bloomer at 26. Anybody actually seen him play, know what his all round game is like?

Disagree - Kyogo had two good season in a row, so did Armstrong. We could probably all come up with other examples too. This is where actual scouting and being clever in the market counts.

I just think we don’t need to take the gamble. There are other players out there who wouldn’t cost the earth but aren’t as risky.

You’re not going to get a top scorer in a top European division for £2.5m. Just isn’t happening.

I literally never mentioned: top scorer, top league, £2.5m.

Just saying - as much as it could work out well - it’s still a huge gamble, whereas others out there aren’t just as much of a risk. Don’t understand what’s controversial about that.

    He looks fairly one dimensional.

I'd take him to replace Ajeti but I wouldn't regard him as a replacement for Edouard.

Because I don’t understand who you think we can get that’s less of a gamble? Every deal is a gamble. Furuhashi was a massive gamble.

Hmm from Henry to him? Its a bit of a style change. He did amazingly well last season for VVV no doubt about that. But would he suit our style, i seriously doubt it.he is an old school striker rather then the modern version we should be looking for. He screams one season wonder for me. But then again you could say that about Henry too. Still Henry is a much more modern type of striker.

apparently Werder Bremen have a deal with him.

Always wary of guys like this. His record before last season is rotten. Could be a late bloomer or could be a freak season.

Looks one dimensional but I’ve just read an article by the guy who scouted him for VVV and he said he’s a striker who can drop deep to allow the wingers to go beyond, and he’s good on the counter attack.

    Have to trust Ange.
